Has anyone ever heard of Metallica playing with the Trans Siberian Orchestra? I downloaded a song called The Carol of the Bells. Is it real???

ya i like it, but if there is a whole album id like to hear it. Apoctaliptica is good, but to hear metallica do classical would be awesome!

It Is Not Metallica

it is a band called Savatage...trust me on this one, we (my group of friends) had a huge debate about this a few years ago, i went and ought the CD...its a band called Savatage

a buddy of mine has a double cd of metallica playing the S&M set with an orchestra from Belgum, but it sounds practically the same.

thanks for the info on the tune, i got in a big argument about it too, i hought it was Sepultura, but the download said Metallica.

Maybe on the album it's recorded with a different band, but I always thought they performed it by themselves. When I saw them live, thet performed it twice, and it sounded pretty much the same as the recording.

Savatage is what the Trans Siberian Orchestra evolved from, so yes it's Savatage not metallica
