One of my favourite books is- all things considered by Michael Coren. It's a good nonfiction book containing interesting, informative and entertaining collection of columns, essays also reviews of famous people and social issues. This book is published by Fenn!.

"Back to the Future". Yes, it is based on the movie.
Don't know who wrote the book version, though.
I also am fond of the book "Emma and I", as well as "Devil on Horseback".
Again, I don't recall who the two people who wrote those books was.

Would have to be Castle in the Air by Diana Wynne Jones. Didn't realize it was a sequel to Howl's Moving Castle until I watched the Ghibli movie lol.
