Dionysos will be back with their eighth album very soon, 3 years after Bird'n'Roll. The band is newly signed to the major Sony Music.

Now it's official! Dionysos left the major Universal Music & signed to Sony, via their label Columbia, which artists are Cali, Mark Ronson, Madeon, Beyoncé & Pharrell Williams. "We are so happy to announce you that, after 22 years of career, we take a new start with Columbia/Sony Music" the band wrote on their official Facebook, adding that a project is going on. "Our new album, carried for many weeks, will see the light of day later this year or early next year."

It will be Dionysos' eighth studio album after Bird'n'Roll in 2012. In between, the Valence-based born band used their songs in the film Jack Et La Mécanique Du Cœur, based on the novel by singer Mathias Malzieu. The soundtrack includes new songs & others from the album La Mécanique Du Cœur (2007), also based on that novel.

Dionysos' signing to Columbia doesn't surprise because some weeks ago, the label released the tribute album to Jean Ferrat, Des Airs De Liberté, with covers by Benjamin Biolay, Catherine Deneuve, Grégoire, Julien Doré & Natasha St-Pier. Dionysos covered "Aimer À Perdre La Raison", which is the first single aired on radios.
