last night i've met a wondrfull boy.. the problem is: he's 23 years old.. and i'm only 16, but i liked him so much that i told him i was 18!! what should i do??we'll see us again... i think that if i tell him i'm 16 i lose him, but i can't go on saying that i'm 18...

are 7 years a lot of difference??

please answer to me!!!

i know its hard but your gonna have to be honest with him. because 1) he'll find out sooner or later and 2) if you do go into a relationship with him you have to be honest!! but tell him how you feel and what made you say you were 18 and im sure he'll understand.

well my mom and dad have 10 years between them just tihkn about it if you come clean now then ermmm u never no it mite work but..... if u leave it it becomes worse

yea, and theres 7 years between my grrandad and my nan... so age isnt everything.

k i used 2 go out with this guy who was 15 ver the net and err i was 10 and i sed i was 15 when i told him he was really nice and calm bout t and he sed like i still love u and age isnt everything so we were still going out wit eachother

he will find it out that i'm 16... but i think that if he would know that i'm 16 he will get angry... i don' know him much,and maybe when i 'll know him better i wouldn't like him anymore!!!

The age gap won't matter if you feel comportable around him but if you feel when you next see him that the gap's too much and you aren't ready for a 7 year gap that don't bother. Like Kata said, if his attitude is good, it wouldn't matter. Good luck!

well is this guy a squaddie? (a person in the army)
this may not sound important but my mate (whos 16) got involved with these squaddies that are like, 20 odd and they just took advantage of her so be really careful mate.

the age gap isn't a problem.. i don't even feel it... when i'll go out with him again,i'll see what to do: if i like him very much, then i wiil tell him the truth...

and his friends told me that he really likes me

but now he is on vacation and he will come back on the 4th!! so ihave a little bit of time!!

Damn, baby...that's a tough question, because a lot of factors come into play here, but I think the best answer is to tell him the truth, first of all, and wait until you're a little older to date guys that age. True, a lot of marriages have a substantial age difference (my own parents have ten years between them), but it's a pretty relative thing...seven years is a lot more between 16 and 23 then it is 45 and 52, for example. He probably is a lot more appealing than 16-year-old guys you know, but play it safe...break it off, tell him you'll give him a call when you're 18, and focus on guys who are a little closer to your age. They don't even have to be 16...it'd be perfectly acceptable in most cases for you to date anyone up to about 19 or so. And trust me...you wouldn't want to date a 23-year-old who'd willingly date a 16-year-old anyway. You're probably very mature for your age, but the logistics of it aren't quite compatible. There will be plenty of other guys, girlfriend...you're still young - go out and get em!

you're right, but i like only older boys than me, younge boys aren't mature... but it's true the best age of a boy for me should be 19!!! even because all the stories i had with older boys finished because of the difference !!
