Who said girls at the age of 16 are immature?
Age is a state of mind- there are people who are 21y.o and act like they are 10 and the contrary.
A risk of pregnancy? there are gynecologists nowadays so you can take pills and use a condom, I don't see why it's a problem.
Just because society has decided it's wrong doesn't make it wrong,
in my opinion anyway.

Good point. Though I am still a little skeptical due to the things I have seen 20+ guys do to teenage girls...But yes there are many exceptions..

the 21 year od can get in a lot of trouble.espically if they get the girl pregnant (if the 16 year old is a girl ) most likely the 16 year is immature.most 16 year olds are. plus they should be focusing on school.and the 21 year old should b focusing on their future/collge/getting job.

That is exactly what I said in an earlier post. Which is why I remain skeptical. Though some people make a good point when they say there are exceptions. Though very few states of affair fall under that category, so in general, most 16 year olds are immature. They begin to be driven blindly by what they believe is "love" and we end up in messy situations. It is better to wait.

You all have it wrong... it's not "whats wrong with the 16 year old." It's not about the 16 year old being immature. How the hell immature do you think a 21 yar old guy is dating a 16 year old? I am 21 and I don't know anyone who would even think about that

I honestly think its okay for a 21 year old to date a 16 year old.All 16 year olds are not immature. im 16 and i know im not immature. i can have a 21 year old boyfriend and still get good grades and prevent pregancy. To me age aint nothing but a number the same thing a 16 year old will do a 21 year old will do or anyone at any age of that matter.

yea but when u date a 21 year and have sex and someone finds out.the 21 year can go to jail. and remeber condoms can break. and if u use birth control its not 100% of preventing pregnancy

You guys still have the wrong damn focus here... it's reasonable for a 16 year old girl to want an older guy... It's incredibly immature for the GUY to want to be with a 16 year old. Consider how different their lives are. The guy can go to bars, the girl just learned to drive

When I was a freshman (15) my boyfriend was a senior 19. We had some classes together and got to know each other... Now he is a firefighter & lives a little down the road from me. Now I'm 17 and he is 21 I'm from a small town where teens drink and party so there is not a difference there cause now hes just doin it legally. No one really said anything when he was still in hs. But now that he is 21 it's a big deal... I don't understand because when I'm 18 he will only be 22. & when I'm 21 he'll be 25. & no one will cAre it's just cause im underage... Ugh. I had to get it off my chest. Sorry people but I'm right.
Oh & we've been together 2 years and counting and couldnt be happier :]
