I've had this problem since yesterday, evertime i sign in, it only connects then it says:
The AIM service cannot be reached

Any idea why it's not signing in?

Have you...

a) Restarted your computer
b) Reset your internet connection
c) Exited AIM and then opened it again.

OR

are you behind a firewall?

I've been always behind a firewall,But it was always signing me In. And all of the other things i've done them too, but i'am not sure about restarting the computer,, i shall give it a try, but what if it didnt work?

Try completely exiting out of AOL and starting that up again too if you haven't already tried it.

on the list of topics, where all the topics are listed, see at the top it says "start topic", well click on there and it's pretty easy from there, good luck, lol...

go to the category it belongs in and in the upper right hand corner right below the banner there is a thing that says "start topic"...click it

And i had already tried exiting Aol and re open it and i had even re installed it, but nothing

what do you have as your like internet because i have aol and i use aim but like my aol thing wasnt high enought it needed to be on general not teen so you may need to do that i dont know if that helped what so ever but its just a thought

that happened to me also.. do you have a cable or dsl modem where ur always online and it still wont connect? then it has somethin to do with ur network or internet service. if you can like sign onto other parts of the internet and its aim isnt just working i believe what the person said above me is right

Yeah i do have Dsl...Pleeease don't tell me it's something with the network, last month i had a problem with the dsl, it wasn't connected right from home to the cable out..

But

When my sister tried, she said it worked for her, but i have to try alot,and i already did that and it didn't work

well if ur still able to post im pretty sure your dsl still works.. and if ur able to post that means ur online which would mean aim would work regardless... now im really confused

that happened to me i downloaded aim yesterday to talk to tames and it wouldn't let me type it was so weird.

Uh noo, i meant i "Had" A problem with the dsl few months ago-
