I'm having trouble creating a square root program in c++. I don't want to use a .00001 * 2 = root else .000002 * 2 = root. I don't want to use the to the power key or square root key. The standard formula is x to the power of .5 =root.

...I'm not sure how else to explain this.

but what i was referring to, the sqrt() thing, would narrow down 'maple' from being 100+ things to one thing. so i guess you don't know what it is. it's not a big deal, it's something many college math classes use. and i'm not a moron, just for the record.
