I've never been fond of singing females...

Don't get me wrong, I love the girls. I just don't like their voices a whole lot.

No, I want a raw, manly voice doing the vocals when I listen to music - like Bruce Springsteen, Chad Kroeger or Chester from Linkin Park.

Get the picture.

However, do you guys know of any great male singers that I might not be aware of just yet? Preferably in the mold of Kroeger and the others, but a good male voice is all it takes to put it in a list.

I also enjoyed the voice of that alcholic from Backstreet Boys. Very unique, whatever his name was.

And no, I'm not gay. I just prefer males singing than females.

I really like Davey Havok from AFI, Ville Valo from HIM, Jon Radtke from Kill Hannah and Mike Ness from Social Distortion. Also, the guy from InMe..I don't know his name, though.

Took me some 15 years to find out which are the best - I answered that question last year.
If I could judge those male singers to a general point of view (including their songwriting), I'd choose Jean-Jacques Goldman, Sting, Jean-Louis Aubert and Mick Jagger (The Rolling Stones).
But if it's judging their voices only, then I'd go for Adam Cohen, Martin Barnard (Alpha/5 Billion in Diamonds), Bono Vox (U2), Bruno Mars and José James.
