Hi everyone,
I wanted to start a topic about the overlooked artists today. Theres a lot of great musicians out there. One hit wonders that actually have a lot of other great songs to offer, some never made it to the top 40, local artists that never make it out of the garage, anyway you get the idea. I'd like to hear about some of your fave little known or forgotten bands. Some of my fave's are

Id & the Superegos
-they were a really great ska punk band from my town that never made it big.

Loreena Mckennitt
-ok so she has her own subculture and a couple popular songs. Listen to any of her albums they are all inspiring.

Jamie & Tanill
-I saw these girls performing in the streets at a local movie theatre and bought their album "For You" on the spot. They said they have an agent in Nashville and I hope to see them on TNN, these girls are VERY talented and incredible songwriters to boot.

Tracy Bonham
-we all remember "Mother, Mother" the rest of that album is awesome. Filled with anger and cynisism she has a neat style.

Suzanne Vega
-she has to be one of the best artists of all time. Her voice is what butterscotch would sound like if it could sing. Her lyrics are incredible and all her albums are awesome. Sadly very little of her work has been recognized.

Mary Coppin
-check her out www.marycoppin.com
I heard this gal sing on a local nonprofit radio station and have been hooked ever since. This girl gets around, if you can see her live, do it.

Allright the floor is open, let er rrrip!

Pennywise and Less Than Jake are well known to an extent, but they (along with every other punk band) are very much underrated and unappreciated...

Darling Violetta! They're awesome, and just about no one I know or talk to know who they are. And if they do, they've only heard the 'Angel' theme, so they don't know how great they are.

Check 'em out!

"Kashmir", "Dizzy Mizz Lizzy" and "Tim Christensen" are definetely some artists you should look into!

All of it is rock, and some of Kashmir's is quite experimentive...
