I really like Michael Stipe's voice of R.E.M. I like how he pronounces words very clearly.

yeah you can really understand what he's trying to say

i dont think i can make a full list but a few you'd have to consider are:
Mike Patton
Speed of Soilwork, dunno his real name
Maynard
Aaron Wiess, he screams and sings with a very unique sound
Shadows of A7X, heard City Of Evil much?
and if i really thought about it some more i'd have some more for you but thats a start.

In my opinion: (since we're getting all touchy about this)
Brandon Boyd
Brody Dalle
Christina Aguilera (not saying I like all her music, but I do think she has an amazing voice)
Chris Cornell
Jon Toogood

sorry maybe i was a little rash, but i mean like greatest as in like actually best singer technically i.e range power versatility uniqueness etcc.....
which is why Freddie Mercury and Jeff Buckley are 1 and 2,,,i should really have put Jackie Wilson on that list though...

I absolutley love Damien Rice's voice, especially paired with a female.

glow_child_glow | 05:33
what immeaning to say is that that was an OBJECTIVE list....subjecvtivity is reserved for opinion, but when making a list of best or greatest vocalists, objectivity has to be put into action(and just so you know, i dont listen to half the singers on that list)

Bloemen | 11:51
Thom York

Christina Aguilera, because has a really powerful voice, and even though i like green day i wouldn't pick Billie Joe as the greatest vocalist!!

icefyre | 16:52
top 6 off the top of my head
Tom McRae
Guy Garvey
Samuel Herlihy
Kelly Jones
Thom Yorke
Richard Ashcroft

if you want objectivity then why did you make this thread at all? you could research some pointless numbers and make your list, which i'm guessing is what you've done with your list at the start...

i got 2 more add in's ...
Scooter of Cold
Chino of Deftones/Team Sleep
if you dont have Chino, you're list is crap in my opinion. he is a without a doubt automatic add in.
