Yes, that time is nearly upon us, season 2004/2005 approaches!

It deserves a thread so I can talk to myself about football, personally I can't wait, but am already confused about the "Coca Cola Championship"...

Good luck to everyone, especially Aston Villa, who will win the league - I can feel it.

Eat football, sleep football, drink and discuss in this thread

Arnt the new names for Division 2 and 3 now just Coca Cola League 1 and Coca Cola League 2 without the word division in it.

Spurs hopefully should get a UEFA cup spot this season

I now hate coca cola!

I'm an Argyle fan and we have never played in a division called 'division one'! It's kinda a weird thing with the club. So when we went up last year were all laughing at how we now finally play in division one...damm them!

Lol, how do you think you'll do in the CCC? I think you'll avoid relegation - are you from that area then?

Yeah, lived in cornwall all me life, and family supports 'em etc.

I rekon we'll avoid the drop, mid table is a realistic target. But hey, if we went down we'd play in division one!!! Unless they change it to the 'Cadbury's Cup' or summin!!!

Good luck, they're the best local team I have so I'll be following them!

It's scary to think that Leeds vs. Plymouth will take place, 5 years ago Leeds were in the Champions League quarter final!

What's the capacity of the ground going to be now?

It's around 20,000 at the mo. It'll drop when it goes all seater. Down to about 18,000. But its designed like (and by the same company as) southhampton's. So if we get to the preimership (or whatever it gets called) we can bung and extra teir on and it'll be up to 32,000.

C'mon United.

Ronaldo & Alan Smith are going to rip defences to pieces. Rio returns in September for the match against Liverpool live on Sky Sports, go on Rio. When Rio returns we will have the strongest defence in the League yet again especially with Heinze at left back. Rooney will be at Old Trafford in the January transfer window for 10 million.

Arsenal are out of it now. Vieira going to Real Madrid, Sol Campbell missing the first 6 weeks of the season. Arsenal will be relegated in no time.

Chelsea have got too many players so they don't settle into the squad. So they have no chance.

Liverpool have a new manager i'll give them a top 3 finish but they won't be champions.

Newcastle. I like the Toon Army so I hope they do well. I always want them to win if Man U don't win the league.

In "Division 1" aka Coca-Cola Championship that is where my 2nd Team (Watford) and the team my dad supports (Derby County) reside. They will both be promoted to the Premiership. Actually Derby have a very strong squad for the 1st Division so I would put some money on them to be promoted.

But the 2004-2005 season will be a quadruple for Man United winning The Premiership, FA Cup, Champions League & The Worthington Cup or Coca Cola Cup (or whatever the fuck it's called now (that cup changes name way too many times)) I remember the Carling Cup. LOL
