Was trying to find a topic like this and couldn't find an active one. The most active one I found was last posted in 2008 and when I tried to post in it, it said "Vote at the poll", but no poll exists for the topic anymore. So it's probably best to create a new topic entirely.

Here's the albums I bought over the last month:

CHVRCHES - Every Open Eye [2015]
David Bowie - Best Of Bowie [2002]
David Bowie - Blackstar ★ [2016]
Fitz & The Tantrums - More Than Just A Dream [2013]
Suburban Lawns - Suburban Lawns [1981]
Vance Joy - Dream Your Life Away [2014]
Weezer - Weezer (The Blue Album) [1994]

Jay Ferguson - White Noise [1982]

I already own this on vinyl, but I was absolutely shocked to find it on CD at our local record store for $20. That's an absolute bargain for this rare album.

Yeah, they played MoneyGrabber and Don't Gotta Work It Out. According to setlist.fm they played four songs off their first album. Haha that's probably why I like "Roll Up"!

It comes with an AVCD and remixes. Uhm, and I got today the Australian version, it comes with two remixes and a bonus track. eBay rocks.

Jay Ferguson - All Alone In The End Zone [1976]
Jay Ferguson - Real Life Ain't This Way [1979]
Orleans - Dance With Me: The Best of Orleans [1997]
Strawberry Alarm Clock - Incense and Peppermints/Wake Up... It's Tomorrow [2013]

Again, I already own the first two on vinyl, but thought I'd buy them on CD since our local record store had both of them. The SAC CD is the first SAC release that I've owned - even though it's a compilation of their first two albums, it was still a great deal. It's great to have some high-quality MP3s of their first two albums!

Sometimes I forget how much I love independent record/CD/etc. stores. I need to go to our local one more often.

Yeah, it's fun to buy multiple formats of an album you like, as I did with the Jay Ferguson CDs above. Though, in my case I mostly bought the vinyls for collectible purposes (and lyric sheets, if they have them) and the CDs for MP3 purposes.

I forgot this thread and yup I bought one this month. It's a cassette release of Gregg Alexander - Michigan Rain [1989]. Another props to eBay!

Nice Scott, where did you buy it and for how much? I know it's pretty expensive on Amazon right now.

I cashed in my AmEx rewards to get Amazon GCs and it was $25. High, but doable. I liked that album.

Beach Party
I missed the show during nearly 2 months, because it wasn't aired. I won the volume 2 one year ago, and last Saturday (September 2), I guessed it was time to add the first volume on my desk... Not too far from my radio set. So, the 4-CD set arrived well and unharmed this Tuesday (September 5).

I'm going to be an expert at famous sixties songs!

^Nice choices! What do you think of the first two albums?

Thanks! I love the Manchester album... it took a couple listens to thoroughly enjoy it, but now it's probably my favourite from them. The Brand New album however... not impressed. I like pretty much anything Brand New puts out... and they had around 8 or 9 years to work on this one, but I just don't really like this album as a whole. I like a handful of songs on it, but it definitely doesn't have that something that keeps me coming back to it like The Devil And God or Daisy did.

I have to listen to both albums more. I really like Brand New - 137 though.
