Simplest explanation: You need a team consisting of
1 QB
2 Running Backs
2 Wide Receivers
1 Tight End
1 Defense
1 Kicker
1 Flex Player (can be RB/WB/TE)

You have a bench of 5, for 5 additional players to use on bye weeks, switch out for injuries, switch out if one of your starters just sucks, etc. Goal is to get the best players (they are listed on the draft board in order of performance last year) on the board for your team. Which is harder than it seems because you get to choose one and then everyone else gets to choose one, so by time it comes back around to you 12 players will be taken.
But yes, fill those positions with the best possible options. That's what you do.

It should be. Last year, everyone on the league had a strategy. This year we have a few people "winging it", could cause some serious upsets during the picks.

I played in a mock draft room, and holy crap! make the wrong selection and people are brutal! While I was trying to figure out how to actually select a player, I inadvertently chose Randall Cobb (WR) and I guess the other people in the room did not approve because they certainly let me know how they felt about it! haha.

I think because I picked Randall Cobb. They were all going off saying stuff like: 'You idiot?! Are you f*cking serious?! Randall Cobb?? You wanna try that again you moron?' Most of them left the room shortly after. It was weird.

Either you were in a room full of idiots or I'm missing something. I had him on my team last year and he was fantastic, until he broke his leg (healed now)... All I've read about him for this year though has been positive.

Pft, I didn't care. I didn't pick the guy on purpose, I was trying to figure out how to select players and I guess I had him selected when I was investigating the draft button. I found it rather funny they were all so upset, especially since it was a MOCK draft.

You can have it auto-draft even if you are logged in. It's usually a checkbox to make it auto-draft.

Nope, it will autodraft for you even if you're in there. You get 60 seconds per pick. If you don't pick within that 60 seconds it will use your autodraft settings.
