Well it's getting near that time of year again, a few weeks away anyway, so here's LSI's annual Eurovision thread.

This year's Eurovision Song Contest is in Baku, Azerbaijan, and the main dates are:
1st Semi-Final - Tuesday 22nd May 2012
2nd Semi-Final - Thursday 24th May 2012
Grand Final - Saturday 26th May 2012

Eurovision.tv - Videos of all this years 42 contestants and the songs they'll be singing.

So, let's have the discussion here .. as always with a bit of a sense of humour

Pft. You only say that because Australia puts Jedward in the top 3, James!

It would appear that most of the world really liked the grannies as well. I mean, who doesn't like grannies singing and dancing about a party?

It's still political though, I bet Australians tend to vote more on countries that they aremore familiar with and on the ones that are in english.
I just guess there's no way of escaping the political and social aspect of it. xp

I wanted to have some wine, watch ESC and comment with you guys, but I wasn't at home. Now I'm gonna read through the thread, cause I'm bored.

Sweden deserved to win. I quite like the song. Or at least my brain does, cause it's superglued in there. We're going up-up-up-up-up-uuuup! Serbia and Germany weren't half bad either. Norway sucked. Obviously.
