Also, I had to Google to see how old Arya is supposed to be (18 apparently) .. I knew that was coming, but it was weird. And Sansa and Theon giving each other those looks, also weird.

I was about to ask if anyone saw Gendry in that last 15 minutes but the preview showed Arya kissing someone, so I'm guessing he made it. Grey Worm tho?

Of all of those deaths, Lyanna was the worst but also the most badass.
I think if Gendry or Grey Worm had died we would've seen it. They were important enough, but fuck, you never know. So much happened, they could just be like "hey, btw... dead. "

Also, I couldn't decide which dragon it was that came back to Dany at the end but everything I'm reading says it was Drogon. So we still have 2 dragons then?

I think we have to. Dany and Jon aren't going to ride off into the sunset together. My money is still on Dany dying but I'm not sure which dragon will.

Insanely underwhelming.

No one really important bit it, the biggest tragedy is that house mormont is seemingly done.

Action set pieces were great. Especially the aerial dragon battle. But the battle strategy was literally south park's "operation human shield". In the end the night king went from impossible to defeat video game boss to dust quicker than a buffy villain.

Hope the next 3 episodes are really good because on rewatch this episode for all its high stakes kinda left me asking if the showrunners are interested in fan service or making a compelling drama

I was feeling almost emotionally numb from the deaths and the near deaths and the probable deaths. And then she jumped and my heart soared and he got her throat and my heart plummeted and she stabbed him and my heart exploded. I'm now a ghost, hello.

When I say "deaths," I mean Lyanna's lmao. What a fucking warrior. And I'm sorry but for all your talk of honour, Sam was the biggest coward I've ever seen in fictional battle. He should've been in the crypt.

Also, yeah, the strategy was fucking awful. All of it, but how did they seem to forget the dead come back? I actually laughed.
