well rappers always use detroit it there songs, it's just like they all want to have come from there, and grew up to be something..

yes i like that song and he is from detroit or "8 mile"... and funny story... his old house he grew up in is/was on ebay for auction recently.

I really like eminem's recent stuff.
In the video, they take clips from the movie and you can see his hair changing colour and length

Yeah, it's detroit, and 8 mile is the name of the road that was on the preverbial 'other side of the tracks'. he had to cross it to go wherever he wanted (ie.- work, etc.). Anyway, it's basically like he was the white boy from the wrong side of the tracks.
