I'm not gonna lie - I've never heard Gangnam Style in full. I've heard the beginning "Oppan Gangnam Style" and the chorus, but that's it. I've just managed to avoid it ever since it came out, which makes me happy because I want to cringe when I hear most modern music anyways.

So yeah, in other words, out of the 2 billion+ views the video has on YouTube, I'm not one of those people.

The song is pretty ridiculous from what I've seen and heard about it, yeah. I think the main reason that it miraculously got 2 billion views is due to the fact that he's from Korea, so he can attract more of an international fanbase. The silly dance, which anyone can do, is probably a factor as well.

But yeah, that's only one of many modern songs I've managed to avoid.

I'm not too sure. I haven't managed to figure out what makes a song popular in this generation, but that's mainly because I don't listen to most modern pop anyways.

All I know is that morale took a steep drop during last year's VMA performance. Sheesh.
