| Yes, give it your best shot...what is the most annoying thing about this forum? What can be improved, what is missing, etc?
Tell me here, and hopefully I can find a pattern in all your submissions and work on the items that are mentioned the most.
So...I don't want to hear a single positive point...put on the most negative face you have and break down this forum. If it is one of those days you feel ... please leave and come back when you feel
Update:
----------------------
Of course, some items has already been talked about a lot in the past. Before all these items are discussed again in here, these are the items which you don't have to mention :
- edit/delete your posts
- remove song discussions from the forum
- adding/removing smilies |

| yeah, I'm wondering about the swear filter a bit.
As if f*ck could be anything else then what it's supposed to mean.
The idea of Matt about the costumized active topics seems very attractive, but also very difficult to implement, as it should keep track for every user which thread he last visited ... It might slow down things enormously.
The first page is _sometimes_ useful, but I'd say in 95% of the cases you already know what's on the first page, so I would consider it as useful to jump to the last one. In the remaining 5% of the cases you can always jump to the first page yourself.
My personal problem are the ads on top and at the bottom, because they most of the time are not allowed by the company's policies and are blocked and they could get suspicious about why I'm retrieving so many blocked sites. Hmm, using the internet for non business purposes is not allowed as well, so I'd better stay away from lsi during the day.
I guess the ads are inevitable. Is this site sponsored? | 0 @ 23-12-2004 10:04 salaam | 15,547 posts

| yes, i want an active page where you can pick which categories of threads you want and block the others..... i am sick of saying oh this lookes good, then i go in and its poetry....AHHHH | 0 @ 23-12-2004 10:16 AlienationEd | 9,757 posts
| The most annoying thing is...
Ara_Patta
ban it. | 0 @ 23-12-2004 10:18 Dagor | 34,019 posts
| no jumping to the last page!
It wouldn't stress the server unnecessarily though. 47% of my clicks (and therefore a load of an unnecessary page and therefore a complete waste of server-ressources) _is_ a waste. | 0 @ 23-12-2004 10:38 skye_hoppus | 463 posts
| i think, as on my boyfriend's band's forums, there should be like a certain time thingy where u cant post another thread until 30secs after the one you jus posted
this would be effective on spammers, am i right?
okay jus a suggestion

| They're should be a limit on smileys per post, like limit it to only 3 smileys per post, cos it's kinda annoying to see posts with thousands of cheerleader smileys followed by a few hundred cow smileys, and it takes a while to load it. Besides, no one does have to use that much smileys in 1 post anyway. | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:02 AlmostAnAngel04 | 1,596 posts
| i wud say more than 3 smileys!! | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:02 almightybob | 3,000 posts
| You mean like everyone's supposed to do in Randomness? | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:05 almightybob | 3,000 posts
| Ray, don't let that talking advertisement back on. I soiled myself every time that ghostly voice-from-nowhere started talking about cheaper car insurance. | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:07 Princess_Arno | 621 posts
| No not like in randomness, in randomness it's 3 per day, I'm just suggesting a limit of 3 per post, or maybe 5. Who needs to use 5 smiley's in a post anyway? | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:09 almightybob | 3,000 posts
| Touche.
Oops... *delete* | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:15 AlmostAnAngel04 | 1,596 posts

| it would be better if in active topics.. there is a bar to shows u which category is the topic belong to.. (hope its englis enough!) lol
and song discussions can be in other catgory which is not belong to active topics.. or dunno maybe writing them in italic might be helpful... (or the category bar thinggy...)

| Well, I actually like the idea about the category for that topic being put on the active topics, so that us moderators know it is in our category, and it is easier for us to keep an eye on what people are posting, instead of not being sure what category it is in.
Does that make any sense to anyone but me? | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:29 AlmostAnAngel04 | 1,596 posts
| erm...chloe ray said he never wanted to hear a single positive point!! | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:30 almightybob | 3,000 posts

| you (at least I) need more than 5 smileys in a post.
for example, a milestone post. | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:47 chloya | 18,104 posts
| Im sorry
I just like it here and I dont like to put it down | 0 @ 23-12-2004 17:51 AlmostAnAngel04 | 1,596 posts

| Regarding the song discussions: I know this is a music forum, yes, but it is real annoying when you make a thread or are reading a thread, leave to pee, come back and find a ton of rap songs at the top of the active topics page. I'm sure anyone who is posting here gets annoyed by this sometimes too.
Smilies: Maybe some that are rarely used should be replaced, for example and replaced with ones tha would be used on a more frequent basis.
Post Editing: NO NO NO NO NO. I'm against this. It would be a pain too, trying to ban someone for something they said but having no proof. Things would get out of control.
Swear Filter: I know there are ways around this, but I think that they should be replaced with anotehr funny word. Example, instead f*ck, you could have someone like KAZIZZLESHAZAM!!!!!!
The check all on the messages is an EXCELLENT suggestion.
And...I think that excessive "netspeak" should only be allowed in the chat. I can hardly read what these little teenyboppers are writing and it hurts my brain. I mean going "u" rather than "you" is ok, but we have to face that it does get out of hand.
We should definitely consider an account expiration. If they haven't posted in lets say...3 months, then I think the account should be deleted from LSI, because it takes up space and...well yeah.
And also...could there be a limit to the number of threads a person can make a day? I mean, I dont make many any more, but when I do its usually one a day, so I think there should definitely be a limit | 0 @ 23-12-2004 18:38 MizKit | 3,695 posts
| Annoying people talking about annoying things, people who create annoying topics about annoying things!!! ARGH it's sooo annoying!!! | 0 @ 23-12-2004 18:44 salaam | 15,547 posts
