Yes, give it your best shot...what is the most annoying thing about this forum? What can be improved, what is missing, etc?

Tell me here, and hopefully I can find a pattern in all your submissions and work on the items that are mentioned the most.

So...I don't want to hear a single positive point...put on the most negative face you have and break down this forum. If it is one of those days you feel ... please leave and come back when you feel

Update:
----------------------
Of course, some items has already been talked about a lot in the past. Before all these items are discussed again in here, these are the items which you don't have to mention :

- edit/delete your posts
- remove song discussions from the forum
- adding/removing smilies

We have such strict rules on LSI, I've seen a lot of other forums where you can cuss, say whatever you want, insult other people, and there's no real problem, but Ray does not allow anything like that, and I support that, so post editing really wouldn't work on this website, even if it's for grammatical reasons, I know some mods do it, and I think, yeah, it might be a little unfair, but some regular members may abuse the power, I don't have to worry about another mod abusing it. I do like Kate's post, and I know what she means about the stamps, if there was a way mods could see what the original post was, then I think this could be a good idea, and maybe we could be informed when a post is edited. I don't know though, I think Ray likes things the way they are.

haha lsi is much better in these colours anyway =p

and it says at the top "edit/delete your posts" has "already been discussed", so i'm thinking Ray's not interested. And i'm glad.

Heh, it sure took a long time for people to be accepting of the yellowlessness. I still miss it, but I've grown accustomed to the white. I think there should be a little thing in the PM inbox where you can choose to "Select All" messages so if you want to clean out the box it's easier.

This has probably been mentioned, but perhaps away to group the various thread categories together in the active topics. For example, grouping all the religious thread topics under one active category. Then people can click that active category and browse the topics. Same could be said about I'm new threads and song help threads. Then maybe the active topics wouldn't seem so cluttered with the same similar threads over and over. You could simply click on a new members active category or a song help category that is active (under active topics) and browse.

I dunno, maybe that wouldn't work.

Surely it would be good for both the forum AND the server if some of the really old, useless topics were deleted? Like solved "Song Helps" that have been repeated 100 times, and General threads which havent been visited in 2 years?

excellent point

I've often wondered why some threads were only closed and not deleted, but others were completely erased

I think some members that haven't logged in for a set amount of time (2 years, 5 years?)should also have their account erased, although that would probably lead to some complaints. . .and Ray's stat of some 800,000 members would be heavily reduced.

^ so true.

But he's right, there should be some kind of 'inactivity' rule... or send them all a public email message, "anyone who doesnt log their ass into LSI within the next week gets deleted. You snooze you lose."

I've deleted a few useless threads and had my actions chewed up and spit back on me as complete rubbish, so I refrain from pushing it any further.

I've also talked to Ray about cleaning up the song help, it'd be so much easier to use that category if it wasn't packed, but yet again SHOT DOWN, because he said the site has room for it.. so why delete it?

print that quote out and time date it in a letter that he'll get in a few years when he's freaking out because his site space is too big

I think the inactivity of the website is something to complain about.

Whenever I come here anymore theres like 2 or 3 people in the forum and no one in the chatroom. WTF happened to the website?

I've read comments regarding other parts of the site, the color of the site, other problems or malfunctions of features and blah. Need I remind people that this thread is to complain about the forum.

Forum.

- edit/delete your posts
- remove song discussions from the forum
- adding/removing smilies

That kind of tells me it's about the forum, plus, all of his beginning post. I'm not trying to argue here, but isn't there a thread about other parts of the site? If not, then by all means use this one, but I'd rather read about Forum issues since it's called 'Complain About This Forum'.

well to start out with... the website really only consisted of the forum.. everything kind of revolved around it.

is there a place I can complain about not being able to block harassing people from my PM inbox?

Actually i already asked Ray a long time ago, about being able to stop certain people from being able to PM you, because of harassment/spam/etc, and he said it was a good idea and he'll add it..... although this was like a year ago....
