| First we were afraid, we were mortified
Kept thinkin' what's four times four in Florida?
But then we came to see that nine squared really IS twenty six,
And we stopped screaming, learned how to get along...
And so you're in, we let you in
We just turned on the news to find you there with that smug look upon your face
We should've shot you down right then
They should've left you in Texas
If we had known for just one second that your father had a son...
Go on now go, walk out the door
Just turn around now, cause you're not the one we want
Aren't you the dude who put a thousand men to death?
Did you think we're stupid, did you think we all failed fourth grade maths?
Oh no not us!
Will we survive?
oh as long as you've got plans for war, I doubt we'll stay alive
We've got all our lives to live but you're too old to understand
It's not your mess, it's not your fault....
HEY GEORGE!
It took all the strength we had not to fall apart,
Kept trying hard to mend the pieces of that dreadful day
And I spent oh so many nights just feeling scared of Jihad
We used to cry, but then we held our heads up high
And you dropped a bomb, and we felt proud
We weren't some screwed up little country they'd attacked,
And so you felt like droppin’ bombs and we said COOL! we'll go with that,
Now we're doubting all your sanity cause you're looking sorta mad,
Go on now go, walk out the door,
Just turn around now, cause you're going power mad,
Weren’t you the one who tried to build us up again,
Did ya think we'd forget, that ya ain't finished in Kabul?
Oh no not us, we won't forget,
Oh finish what you've started, George, don't bite off more than ya can chew,
We’ve all got life to give, but our names ain't on the list,
We will survive, but will Baghdad?
Ooooh
Go on now go, leave the White House
Just turn around now, cause you're not really President
Weren't you the one with a brother in Miami?
Did you think we'd crumble, let you fight this in our name?
Oh no not us, we'd rather die
Oh as long as I know how to love I'll love my fellow man
Oh we've got all our lives to live, I'd like to live my days in peace
Can peace survive? Not in your hands...
We must make peace.....

| >> Let's see... He started the war in Iraq,
No he didn't...There was never an official end to Desert Storm. People forget that for the previous 13 years we were flying air patrols to enforce sanctions and get shot at every day by Saddam and his boys. Meanwhile Saddam was safe on the ground literally massacring anyone who disagreed with him, providing extensive financial and intelligence support to a number of terrorist groups and let's not forget: **attempted to assassinate our president***.
If you want to get mad about the war in Iraq, be mad at Bill Clinton for signing the law that declared official US policy was regime change in Iraq (translation: getting rid of Saddam). Thank Hillary for working behind the scenes to weaken the sanctions regime that was keeping Saddam contained, and the imminent breakdown of which was the proximate cause of war.
If you think Bush started the war, then quite frankly you are either: a) willfully ignorant of the history of the conflict, b) a Democratic partisan who reflexively blames George Bush for everything under the sun, or c) just plain crazy.
>> the election was apparently rigged (though admittedly that's not been proven as far as I'm aware),
This is the most ridiculous lie ever told to the most gullible group of people on earth.
1) If Al Gore himself believed this then why did he only ask for 4 heavily Democratic counties to recount rather than the whole state? Answer: he didn't believe. They were trying to "find" new votes to overturn the results.
2) The rules for the election were always what they were. It wasn't Republicans who tried to change the rules after the fact: it was the sleazy lawyers trying to manufacture votes for Al Gore.
3) The networks called Florida before the polls had even closed in the heavily Republican western part of the state. Had the media not interfered with the vote, those voters would have turned out in great enough numbers that not even staged recounts by Democrats, in Democratic counties, could have closed the gap.
4) All the courts said on the case was, essentially: enough's enough. You had your chance to manufacture all the votes you could, and you still fell short even with your party in control over every single precinct and county involved in this sham recount. Don't ask us to bend ourselves into legal pretzels to justify any more shenanigans than you've already pulled: we're staying out of it, so be a grown-up for once in your life and accept that you lost, would you? So much for "rigging the election" huh?
Bottom line: Al Gore and his henchmen tried to change the rules that Florida elections had been held under for years. In the process, they smeared a lot of people with slime who didn't do anything wrong in an attempt to steal an election. Their partisans might believe their B.S., but history tells the story a lot better than the Democratic party faithful. He tried to game the system and lost...It was politics as usual, believing the lie just makes you gullible...
>> he's slashed budgets for healthcare and programs helping children...
Again, someone just reading the Democratic party press releases without doing any research on his own to find out if there's any truth whatsoever to the lie. Drug benefit for seniors? Anyone? Every heard of it? Who pushed that through? Here's a hint: it was passed over the objections of almost every Democrat who opposed it for the pure and simple reason that they didn't want a Republican president to get credit for getting it passed. How cold and cynical was that?
>> Oh, and he's a complete moron.
A complete moron who got an MBA with a higher GPA than either of his opponents, John Kerry or Al Gore. Whoops? There's those troublesome facts again.
Don't even get me started on the manifest unfitness for the position possessed by George Soros' sock puppet, John Kerry, and the serial fabulist and world-class hypocrite, Al Gore....
All of these complaints are the exact same complaints from the exact same people who ridiculed Reagan as stupid, incompetent, etc. Once again, guess who was on the wrong side of history on those attacks? Are these the people you really want to ally yourself with?
You would think by now they could have come up with a new line of attack instead of just recycling the old ones. But I guess with gullible people like you who buy into the same lies time after time they don't really have to, now do they?

| well, at least one can't say that your opinion is unbiased .. I think you don't like democrats, .. or am I wrong? | 0 @ 03-04-2008 16:23 lyricsys | 2 posts
| It depends on what you mean by "Democrats". If you're talking about the average Jane/Joe who is a registered member of the party, we'd probably get along fine.
If you're talking about the party "leaders," then you'd be very correct in saying that I don't like them. I don't think they have the best interests of either the country or their constituents at heart. For the most part, they are people interested in power and money, purely for the sake of having it.
I think they stoke the fires of racism in order to keep ethnic minorities "in line" - too afraid of those on the other side of the political aisle to even listen to an opposing point of view or alternate solution for social problems.
They condemn entire groups of people to perpetual poverty by keeping them dependent on ever-increasing government entitlements handed out by rather than helping them stand up for themselves.
They gain power as the size of government grows. More government jobs means more jobs to reward their contributors, more fat contracts to hand out, more kickbacks to their "campaign funds." So they ensure that more and more people owe their daily bread to the largesse of the government to perpetuate their power.
I could go on and on, and even the barest knowledge of American history shows the racist, corrupt nature of the Democratic party "machine" which condemns generation after generation of millions of people in this country to lives below the poverty line solely to maintain the lifestyles of the party elite which still control the party politics from Chicago to New York to Boston and beyond.
Our Founding Fathers feared people like the modern Democrats which is why they wanted a limited government because of the fearsome power which an unchecked group of politicians can wield over the lives of its citizens. So do I dislike them? You could say that.... | 0 @ 03-04-2008 17:22 Dagor | 33,281 posts
| did you really go through all that trouble to write this long post just to say: I am a republican and a not very openminded one?
