Welcome! Many get confused with the format of making a link, so here we will show you, in 2 different ways, how to make a link on the LSI.com forum.

Method 1: Follow these 4 easy steps!
Step 1
Firstly, you have to click on the URL button which is along the top of the reply screen. When you click it, this will appear: [ url=]

Step 2
Next thing to do is type the web address in straight after the = sign, including the http:// bit, as follows:
[ url=http://www.google.com]

Step 3
Enter the text that you want to use to click on for your link, for example, to make "Google" the word to use as your clickable link:
[ url=http://www.google.com]Google

Step 4
Hit the URL button again, and your completed link should look like this.
[ url=http://www.google.com]Google[ /url]

Remove the spaces I inserted before the word URL in the first bracket and before the slash / in the second bracket so that your link will work. I used them so that the code would appear here and not make an actual link. Here is what the above looks like without those two spaces:

Edit the original post and put this:

[url[b][/b]=]text[/url]

And it shows up as

[url=]text[/url]

That way you don't have to add the spaces. The [b][/b] keeps the code from executing.
