18 posts	fur some reason i HATE uniforms . it make everiwun look the same, and it look sooo borin borin . i have to wear uniform at mah skool and it not even a private skool. sumetimes i just wanna mah self wen i look in da mirror.

499 posts	i have to wear uniforms in my school.. they only introduced it this year and i'm year 11 so thank god its my one and only year cz it luks weird on me:S makes me luk younger nd it doesnt suit me.. th sweater is too short on me cz i hav a long body bt if i get it any bigger it luks rly rly baggy.. anyway, its just shit. u shud b abl 2 wear whatvr u feel like.

436 posts	my school has a uniform i hate it probably coz its navey blue trousers or skirt and a navey blue jumper! but when we get into year 11 it changes to black so thats not to bad!

Although I wasn't keen on wearing a skirt, it was long enough for me to not feel emotionally uncomfortable (it seemed I was the only one not to role it up so it was short). I am neither strongly for or against uniforms but I don't believe they take away individuality. We still have our own facial features, different hair styles and colours, etc, and what we all wear because it is mandatory doesn't mean our personalities have to be similar; it doesn't take away who we are inside. I think that they're also good because I believe they can help cause less divide in social class, or between richer and poorer kids. It's true that some people may have scruffier uniforms than others but I think that in schools with uniforms, there would be less bullying about who wears what brands and who can afford what, so on. In my first high school (11-16 years in England), I have to say, I wore their clothes with pride. At least the blazer - I felt it was smart and liked the logo. The second high school I went to was different to the typical British one and had no uniform. i

4,231 posts	All right, not sure what happened there. As I was saying: I remember comments were made about each others' clothes but in an amused way rather than snide because we were a small class (of five/six on average), though we did talk about some of the people from the year/s below us and what they wore. Still, it was fun being able to take off my jacket whenever I wanted to and having jeans rather than a skirt.
