lemme tell a breif idea on what happened. trent reznor wakes up in a building to find people in black clothes running outside. in confusion, he runs with these crowds of people. no matter how hard he tried to get anyones attention everyone ignored him and pushed away. he ran across the city then made a mad dash onto a train. he then appeared running across sand that seemed to go on for miles. suddenly he falls, gets up, and nobody is around, just black clothes on the beach... what i wanna know is what it means? does it have a meaning? is it just a normal weird video with no meaning? gaah typical nine inch nails always makin symbolic confusing music videos

I think if you stand back and look at the video and the song together they make sense... Fragile is a despairing album in a way so even these uplifting moments like "none of them can stop us now" end in total confusion and being left utterly alone. My personal opinion... NIN's my favorite band.

ahh i see another hardcore nin fan, im usually punk, but nine inch nails is one of the best bands ive ever heard

although the last part goes with that, what about the beginning? does that apply to confusion too?

lol, the perfect drug and closer have so many symbolic things it makes my head hurt. i forgot what the heart meant in closer, but i remember the pig head was from the lord of the flies

Perfect Drug is my personal favorite but I really want to see Sin but it was never released (dammit)... I don't suppose you ever saw Broken...?

And yes I believe the beginning where he's running with all the people and the invalids are seen that might apply to a kind of despairing confusion -- oh look a mass of people running, I need to go with them, maybe they can help me... then it all goes to waste.

i have the video that shows all and maybe more then all of their music videos, sin is really strange and shows pierced dicks and gay guys writing on each other with blood O.o

happiness in slavery is way more disgusting though, download it on kazaa and prepared to be sickified! (yes thats a word, sickified)

I've seen Happiness in Slavery... very very good... The sin I'm talking about is the one where he plays Slave and Master with a strange woman... or am I thinking of a different one?
