6,661 posts	make up dates back to the egyptians, and prolly before that. they used it as beauty. it was high class only stuff, not for slaves. it's used mostly as something to bring out attractiveness in someone. almost by nature humans can find certain things more attractive than others, it doesn't always work but it usually does. for example, using lipstick to bring out your red lips. an unhealthy body won't have red lips, it's a sign of sickness occasionally. and by nature you don't wanna breed with a sickly person. same goes for distictive eyes(mascara, eyeshadow, ect.) and whatever else you wanna toss the stuff on. nowadays it doesn't always work like that. but if you put on white powder and black eyeshadow you're going to look more "dead" than someone with ruby red lipstick, blush, and blue eyeshadow. meh. most celebs, including males, still use it. i don't tho.

253 posts	my friends bring their make-up to school and re-do it like every half hour... i've never understood why it matters at school... when they're out they don't do it... lol

21,398 posts	a bit of make up is ok... i think some people over do it though..and it just looks like uh..werid... some people say people wear make up because they feel insecure about themselves, i agree kinda with that, but not all of the time... i don't really put much make up on, just like lip gloss and eye liner are the mains things...things like mascara i'll put on when i go out or soemthing..that's it really though... i know what you mean about some people at school..it's like what's the point!? i go to a girls school anyway so yeah it's not like there's any reason to put loads on.... and you're not classed as ugly if you don't wear it. that's just stupid... it's like there if you want to use it, but it's not going to necessarily make you feel or look better...it's different for different people...

12,214 posts	I never really put much make up on, simply cuz I don't have time for it lol. hey, you try to wake up every day on 5:30 am, all blurry and having wet dreams about your bed, and then try to paint yourself lol. plus, I instruct a lot in religious schools, so they don't really appriciate these stuff lol. but, when I do put some make up on, I can't ever ever ever ever leave my beautiful lip gloss out. can't! it's irreplacable. so shiney and glittery lol. they give such a sexy look to the lips, to every lips.. sometimes I put a black pencil in my eyes (just for the kick of it, I like to poke things in my eyes), and mascerra, eye shadows, though I usually just put pink or baby blue ones, but I really want to put black ones too, but I always seem to put the wrong amount of it, it's never right lol. I almost never put blush, and I have a blue eyeliner that I never used once in my life lol.

1,557 posts	I think makeup helps a girl feel a bit better of the way she looks...its just a conifidence booster for most people knowing theyve got a little bit more to their look on that day. I personally don't wear makeup that much, i dont use cover-up because my skin isnt that bad and the occassional breakout doesnt bother me and clears up usually by the next day.. depending on my outfit, i'll wear eyeliner and mascara..to make my eyes look a lil bigger...but most days, i put on lip gloss/lip balm a bit of mascara on the outer corners of my eyelashes and I'm ready to go! I don't try to impress anyone (neither should anyone else) if something's meant to be then it will and they will like you just for who you are...not the makeup you're wearing...

21,466 posts	Yeah it makes me feel better. Sure. My eyelashes are blonde, just like my hair, and my eyes look much better when I put on mascara. But 60% of the time I don't wear makeup. I'm too lazy. I'm addicted to lipgloss though....

7 posts	i use make up all the time,(i know it's not the best thing for me)but i don't care! i think it's kinda fun to wake up every morning & put it on. But that's my opinion

259 posts	I like doing my eyes but Inever weared Make-Up coz Ido not like it. I also think, that not wearing make-up does not make you automatically ugly. NATURAL BEAUTY FOREVER!
