| FIRST....slow your sugar intake.....that includes soda......SECOND....exercise...you don't have to kill yourself over it...just get more than you do now...do not overeat.....don't eat until you can't eat anymore...just until you are satisfied....if you make yourself miserable...it really adds on the pounds....NO FAST FOOD!!! | 18-02-2003 05:34 vandy |

| you have to do aerobic excercize as well as some resistance training. Cut back on your caloric intake, but not dramatically. Stop eating white flour!!! That's what ReALLY helped me! I went from 128 to 118 over the course of about 3 months just by cutting white flour out of my diet.

| ellyeles. One thing you shouldn't do is go on a crash diet. It's been proven somewhere that eating a little is far better than not eating in order to lose some weight. Good luck. | 18-02-2003 13:57 Lita | 1,164 posts
| DONT OBSESS OVER YOUR WEIGHT.
just a suggestion... | 18-02-2003 15:56 Masterful_Ally | 15,628 posts
| yeah, I agree with Lita. I'm kinda skinny but I started obsessing over my weight for...hmm...no reason, and I took dieting too far once. Not good.

| I prolly take my weight too seriously also, but do have some tips mabye to help. I dont know if they are as healthy as some of the others by these worked for me. First of all, I used to drink a lot on the weekends, EVERY WEEKEND. Not good, stopping that dropped some pounds right there. I don't eat lunch at school. Sometimes I do on the weekends but not usually. For Breakfast I drink a breakfast drink. Not slimfast its just called Breakfast drink i think. Then for supper I eat a normal meal, try to stay low on the fat and calories but its still usually a normal meal. And I eat my "supper" at about 3:15 *right after schoool* so it is digested by the time I go to bed and dont go to sleep with food in my stomach. I also do a LOT of situps. I think a good stomach is awesome. Mabye its not the most healthy diet but it worked well for me. I weighed 152 lbs when i started my sophmore year and im half way into my junior year now and weigh about 127. Im 5'9". I also think that not drinking played a key factor in all the weight loss but the extra dieting keeps the pounds off. Theres my 2 cents

| I wouldn't say anyone's obsessing over their weight, but maybe some people aren't happy with how they look or feel physically. There's nothing wrong with wanting to feel good about yourself, and feeling good changes from person to person. Of course, there is a fine line that defines obsessive, but I don't think anyone's crossed it here. | 18-02-2003 17:50 Plantagenet |

| What you have to do to loose weight is to have a good breakfast and lunch and supper, just eat enough until you had enough. And then you won't be hungry in between your meals, so you won't need to eat candy-bars or so anymore. And if you do feel hungry, then eat an apple or so, that doesn't hurt! | 18-02-2003 19:36 ellyeles | 15 posts

| pills are sooooooo bad. I was taking metabolife for a little while and it didn't do a thing for me, except make me really moody. I'd be just driving along and all of the sudden burst into tears. It was bizarre. It gives you extreme lack of control over your moods. | 19-02-2003 09:35 ellyeles | 15 posts
| should i wait til im thin to do situps coz if i do em wen im fat, will i still be able to get a flat stomach (if u get wat i mean)? | 19-02-2003 10:35 Plantagenet |

| doing situps is for training you belly-muscles, you can do that anytime! | 19-02-2003 12:39 Heavenlybabe | 361 posts
| it all really depends on yer matabilism.(i cant spell) i am thin but i eat all the wrong things. i never drink water or eat healthy. all you really need to do which i find for me is, excercise. when u go out dont jus tstand around walk places for example i walked a 4 mile track with my mates nd had a great laugh. but make sure that when u eat a packet of crisps, run to the bin , try and work the calories off. lol
Love and Bunnies Jodz xx !!

| eat slowly and savor every bite. There's a big difference between being "not hungry anymore" and "way full"...only let yourself get to the point of "not hungry anymore". |
