| ok so school hasnt even started yet but i was just thinking about our school dances and then i started to get pissed because i relised that the dj only plays pop and rap music and those have to be the worst kinds of music (to me) and im not the only one that thinks that. and my friends and i will get a group of friends and go ask him to play some rock music he says he will but he doesnt wich pisses me off. the only rock song he play is "down with the sickness" and like one linkin park song. othough i like thath song/band. he plays those every and i mean every! dance. the least he could do is play different rock songs. but no he has to play the same songs every dance!!  |

| i hate school dances. they play all that pop and rap, like you said, and then all the preps are grinding their boyfriends, and......ugh.

| well, what we did last dance was we waited until a reeeeally slow pop song. then, when all the preps were dancing with their dates and such, we ran out into the middle of the floor and started a mosh pit!

| Yeah, like at my school we'd ever be allowed to start a mosh pit. Last year was my first year having a school dance. I'm going to have so many this year it's not funny...I guess it gets old quick but I thought the dance was fun,...of course the music sucks, they played all these little dance songs like the Cha Cha Slide. | You've got to realize that dances are there just for that, for people to dance... and it's hard to dance to "Enter Sandman", you've got to find a compromise, like, "Twist and Shout" The Beatles, maybe a little Cake, Ray Charles, old funk like that has a great blues B Riff that most rock songs are based on, but they've also got a whole lot of funk in the back beat, so you can get kick-ass guitar and a beat you can dance too all at once.
Don't hate the DJ man, he's just trying to make everyone have a good time, maybe you should try cutting loose a little and trying dancing to a little Twista or 2 Pac, listen to the lyrics, you might find you like it a whole lot more than you thought, Hip-Hop artists are some of the greatest lyricists of all time, not to mention they're music is very well put togethor... listen a little closer | | 0 @ 19-08-2004 18:25 xcr4zyx |
