| You know I'm pretty unflappable under normal conditions. This week however, has not been *normal* conditions so I'm about to vent.
I just don't have a f***in' clue about some guys today. It seems I have to fight to get myself noticed sometimes and nobody should have to do that. Shame some guys haven't got a clue and don't know what they're missing out on.
Now, I'd like to see things from their point of view, but I can't seem to shove my head quite that far up my ass. Just because *I* don't meet *their* initial expectations, that suddenly makes me not worth the time of day and dismess me as a kid with too much ego for his own good.
Now, I could accept it if I wasn't to their personal tastes. But we're all in the same part of the community. I AM to their tastes - down to the last detail.
And ANOTHER thing. Out of those who do decide I'm worth talking to, I become nothing more than a trophy buddy. In the community I'm referring to (most regulars would probably know exactly what community I'm taking about here) it's quickly becoming all about who you know and not caring about the actual person behind the image. I HATE being treated like that. What the f*** is wrong with these people? Why have 99% of them just become plain WEIRD? |

| hmm you got me a bit confused, but basicly you are saying that the community you are a member of, is disapointing you, the people are shallow and not the way it's been before... right ?
Have you tried telling them how you feel?
If that doesn't help, maybe you can find a different similar comunity and leave that one ?
About people looking at the person through the image of their expectations and not at who he trully is- that's everywhere in this world... such are human beings - we rarely see what is REALLY there...
But in this forest of shallow creatures, there ARE still great guys left and I'm sure you'll meet them , and they will be able to see you for the person you are and not for anything in their imagination!
I know how frustrating it can get, I do... But don't give up and keep on living your life regularily, you'll see everything will work out just great
I am always here if you need to talk

| Phil! This isn't the perfect place to post but you'll read it here - I went to Pink Punters in Northampton last night!
It's a bar for your community that you've mentioned, I had a great time lol!
Only had to turn away the one person though lol

| Not now Danny, I'm growling
Today's random growl. FLUFFBUNNIES.
Al will know what I'm talking about here, but for those of you that aren't inclined towards the occult, fluffbunnies are the name that serious Pagans give to little dabblers in the arcane arts. They're in it because it's the *in* thing to do and for some reason, have deluded themselves into thinking that they're all powerful. In reality, they're just suffering from overdoses of TV shows like Charmed and Buffy, and are about as clued up as the corpse in an Agatha Christie murder mystery.
And when they screw up (which is pretty much every time they try to cast anything) it's guys like ME who have to go in there and clean up their mess. But does that stop them from trying again? Smeg no! They just read a bit more Harry Potter and try again. Gotta give them credit for trying, but it just builds up to the point where you just want to take your sickle/Athame, slice them up and feed them to whatever they were trying to summon.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for thou art crunchy and taste good with ketchup
OK, so it's only a *minor* annoyance to begin with. Well, it was a minor annoyance until a few years ago. Now we have fluffbunnies everywhere (and yes, I am aware that there'll probably be a few on the forum who will find and read this). Frankly, I don't give a flying f*** if any of them read this. Hey - they can even send me hate mail! What goes around comes around - or did you forget to read the part about the Threefold Law? | 0 @ 16-08-2004 09:00 vandy | 9,524 posts

| *loud stressed growl*
Yup - I'm about to make another random growl about something that seems almost totally inconsequential.
It's now my time of the month. And yes, you did read that right. It's that time of the month when (for reasons totally beyond me) I go into testosterone overload and my natural sex drive hits the roof, as if it wasn't high enough already.
Most men would look forward to something like this. Poor deluded little lunatics. I don't know what it's like for *them*, but for me it's probably the most stressful time imaginable. No matter how many times I get laid or spank the monkey, I just don't get enough relief from it. And it BUILDS. It builds right up the point where you can hear me roaring several miles away and it feels like I'm carrying around several metric tonnes in my boxers.
Please be careful around me for the next few days. I'm gonna be like a ticking time bomb until my biorhythms return to normal. |
