| why da hell is my stepdad such an ass?
oooh i hate him i hate him i hate him!  does anybody else hate him or is it just me! my mom says she loves him but i hate seeing her as the piggy in the middle between me and him...divorce the egotistical little a-hole already...agggh
anyone else have step-dads they wish wud just curl up and die...come join me in my campaign! |

I have a step dad and I had a really hard time growing up with him, we still fight alot but less than before...
There were so many times I hated him, but I forgave everything now... Because I realized that anger is a terrible destructive emotion and it is best to let it all go...
He still does many mean and stupid things, but I don't let it get to me anymore...
Don't worry, it'll be alright

| thanks for the suggestions guys but i assure u i have a dad that i see every weekend and i'm not really sure if i love him or not either. It's not really a always there relationship so he's a stranger to me as are my half-siblings. but thanks anyways

| I know what you mean about your real dad as well, trust me I can identify with that. My dad and I - we had alot of ups and downs and there were plenty of periods when I was your age when I was completely unsure what I feel about him. There's been a few years that we haven't kept in touch at all...
Your problems with your step dad are surely not because you miss your dad , it's because he is still a stranger, in what is supposed to be your and your moms house, and that "stranger" tries to take over your life and play a role of a father, when he isn't even your father!
Trust me I know how F*ing iritating that can get !
Especially at that age- when you are a teenager, you need your own space and privacy and you're not a little girl anymore and you become more of a rebell- which forces him to be even more sensless and mean...and that causes all the anger and all the problems...
The only thing I can advise you honey, is just not to pay much attention to him and what he says, try to ignore it and just live your life... you might wanna try to have as less contact with him as possible- like what I chose to do. Each time he came home I went away or locked my room or anything else just not to bump into him...
You know that the only reason he is being mean it's because he feels he wants to control you, he feels he needs to play a role of a parent, but he knows you are not letting him, you aer not accepting him- that's the problem. The really dumb thing is though -that you don't want another dad, and he is sorta forcing the situation on you... well at least that was in my case, and you obviously don't accept it and that makes him even angrier...
It's gonna be alright, you'll see
