| wow.. meg.. thanks for this.. lol..
to all the guys out there who have posted in here.. lucky you..and you manage to somehow rub it in our faces.. lol
for me.. i think i get the most horrible pain in the world.. i usually know that my monthly visitor is coming right then.. like, i would feel really woozy all the time for like 3-4 days before i start.. and i almost vomit.. then i get big headaches.. and then.. the pain comes and i swear.. it feels like a freaking one ton cement block drops in my belly.. and everything hurts sooo bad.. like.. i actually cry at school sometimes.. and the worst thing.. i don't usually take pills either.. like.. some girls i know.. a lot of them say that taking pills can affect the risk of having disabled or mentally challenged kids.. that kinda scares me so i just don't risk it.. even though it may not be true.. however.. one time.. i almost passed out at school the pain was so bad that i took 3 pills just to get rid of it..(meg.. 16's a little too much dontcha think? ).. anyhow.. it's horrible and i hate it.. but i think i'll live through it.. so.. little brave me.. whoohoo!!!!!!! (sorry.. i'll shoot my own darn cheerleader *shoots cheerleader*) | 0 @ 03-08-2004 09:38 MizKit | 3,695 posts
| Omg... Pains... God...
I guess I'm lucky, cuz I only have my period for about 3 or 4 days once every month, it's pretty regular... But it hurts like hell... *dies*
I don't bleed much, but it still hurts... I live on pain killers, I can't sleep, sometimes the only thing that helps is screaming...
I can't sit down or it'll hurt... I can't do anything...

| Does anyone agree with me that pains feel kind of 'hollow'? | 0 @ 03-08-2004 09:39 MizKit | 3,695 posts
| Plus it starts to hurt about 3 days before I get it and when I'm ovulating (I have nooo idea how to spell that)..

| I only get really bad pain if i'm hungry, because that's kinda hunger pangs combined with cramps.
Other than that it's just a dull aching whilst someone punches me feeling. | 0 @ 03-08-2004 14:08 fruity | 12,214 posts

| I've got Endometriosis so ... I know pain. Sometimes it gets soooo bad you can't eat, and you vomit and ... urgh ... | 0 @ 03-08-2004 21:00 little_girl | 7,777 posts
| I know what that is like, unfortunately... I have Endometriosis. I also have PCOS and high insulin.

| What do you take for Your Endo? I'm on nothing but normal painkillers for the moment until I find like a natural therapy because I don't like the idea (or side effects) of the others available. | 0 @ 03-08-2004 21:17 little_girl | 7,777 posts
| Well, I am doing suppression right now- I'm taking a birth control pill called Yasmin. I don't take the placebos though... I take the real thing all the time thus I don't have a period unless I break through. The suppression is not working 100% though. It cut down on the pain a good deal... but I still have quite a bit of pain.
My reproductive endocrynologist (I started seeing him for the PCOS before I found out about the endo) is talking about doing a lap. He also thinks I might have intersticial cystitis... so he wants me to see a urologist before he schedules me for the lap.
As far as taking something for the pain... you probably know that nothing short of a narcotic really helps with the pain. I don't like the way nacotic pain relivers make me feel, so I don't take them most of the time. I'm pretty stubborn. I've had this type of pain since I was 13 but it has gotten worse over the past two years. I started having pain all of the time.
I am not excited about having the surgery but if it eliminates the pain I am willing. | 0 @ 04-08-2004 01:38 Jcboy790 | 408 posts

they dont get these times of the month, AND they dont have to push out a body, size of a melon, out of you know where | 0 @ 04-08-2004 08:12 vandy | 9,518 posts
| I don't get it this bad every month, luckily, but this month, it definitely didn't feel hollow, it was like...augh when I first woke up before I could crawl into the kitchen for ibuprofen...it's like it was such a huge cramp that I couldn't even control doubling over. I woke up because my body jerked into a position of doubling over...kinda like a charlie horse, it was wierd.
However...huge hugs to Celeste and Michelle...that sounds really scary to deal with. | 0 @ 04-08-2004 08:20 stinkynpinky | 414 posts
