| ohhh....i have such terrible pains, i've tried at least 5 different types of pills, they all dont work. the only thing that gives me relief is Tylenol 3. If I don't have any pills that work, i just have to lay in bed for like 4,5,6 hours just in PAIN. It's horrible. I cry and cry.
(My mom gave me comfort though, and my aunt, they said that once you have kids it goes away.....so when i get married im having kids lol) | 0 @ 28-03-2006 10:44 Dropkicked | 968 posts

| i can't track myself, honestly. i never know when it'll come, it could be at the beginning of the month, at the end, in between, 3 weeks later, a month...it's crazy. for the most part i only get really terrible cramps when it first starts. but yeah, they're pretty bad for a day or so. | 0 @ 28-03-2006 16:49 EmoRockGirl85 | 14,084 posts
| i remember one day i was complaining about cramps, and my boyfriend says "umm....punch them." and when i gave him an odd look, he says "how am i supposed to know what to say to a girl with cramps?!"
but anyway....punching doesn't work.

| if you pinch the skin where it hurts for 10 seconds quite hard it goes away, like grab the skin, its something to do with pressure points or you could just ignore all the magazines hehe x | 0 @ 28-03-2006 19:29 Dropkicked | 968 posts
| I may just be a crazy hippy but that actually makes sense | 0 @ 28-03-2006 20:46 sarah_2204 | 3,593 posts
| grab the skin?
.... yeah somehow that doesn't sound like something that would work for me.
when my cramps are bad all my insides pain, and i dont think ill be upsetting myself more by grabbing at all the skin on my stomach.
I wouldn't be fit to talk to. | 0 @ 29-03-2006 09:53 NightHobbit | 23,464 posts

| I only get mine once every few months... no idea why.. theres lots of things wrong with me. But when I do get it, the pains are horrible, I wake up in the middle of the night in the worst pain ever. Usually I get up and have a shower and just sit on the floor in the shower, almost to the point of passing out, still in horrible pain until it goes away. It usually doesn't go away until I take like a million pain killers, have some herbal tea, and roll around on my bed for a while. | 0 @ 29-03-2006 12:17 DarXide | 5,568 posts

| Gosh, I'm dyyying right now. I don't remember having my periods so painful in a long time. I was in eternal pain in school too and couldn't concentrate on anything. I took two painkillers at school; they didn't work at all. I think it's been 10 hours and the pain just doesn't go AWAY!
I don't know if I should take another painkiller. I'm kind of afraid to, I can't want to deal with any side effects now. And it doesn't really help either.

| dont take anymore painkillers. If it hasnt helped yet, proabably wont help anyway.
Try this: lay down and put something really warm on your belly. Or massage your belly clockwise. | 0 @ 18-04-2006 15:18 AlmightyShmun | 1,189 posts
| Several studies have come out recently showing that the excruciating period is almost exclusive to Western culture, specifically in America and Europe. Other cultures aren't so bad off, because they place little emphasis upon the pain, and focus on the process as a whole. The menstrual cycle is, obviously, essential to childbirth. It is part of something much more wonderful, and that is what concerns them. If we relaxed a little about it, we wouldn't have quite the firestorm every month. Well, not "we," per se. Just you guys. With your crazy vaginas. | 0 @ 18-04-2006 15:20 Chobbits | 6,665 posts
| ^ Phew, try having period pains every month and you'd talk differently.

| I usually get sympathy pains thrust upon me by my lady friends.
Of course, by sympathy pains, I mean a swift kick in the groin the moment I do anything remotely disagreeable, which depending upon their mood, can be anything after "Hello." | 0 @ 18-04-2006 15:26 soojeysoosh | 3,869 posts
| Yeah it's easy to talk about it, not that easy to deal with the pain.
Thanks Chobbits I'll do that. Massaging already helped a little. Thanks a million |
