It all depends on what book you're reading. I don't think anyone can be naive enough to rule out every single book in the world as boring.

Well, yes I do see a point in your statement, however, if you find a topic of books you like or an author you will find some are good. of course some books are borring seeing as how not everyone likes to read about the same type of stuff.

books are great as u get to imagine what the world and the people look like instead of bein told...also the book tells the whole story..movies miss out important parts sumtimes (ie the harry potter films)

I agree books are boring. I dont know why, they just are. I'd much rather be doing something usefull instead of reading, like shopping.

I really struggle with Stephen King but give me one by Ken Follet and I'm in heaven.

I can't concentrate long enough on a book. I have found some really good books in the past, but the majority of books I come across I just can't stick to. It annoys me because I want to read and look clever and stuff, but I just don't like most books.

I know what you mean. I hate starting books and really want to give up but I know that I will get into the book and I am lost in it. Some books though start off good at the start and draws you right in. Like I said Stephen King is hard work.

Comic books?!?!? Trade paperbacks?!?!?Anime?!?!? Jeez, what are you people, like, five?!? Get a REAL life and read a REAL book for once.

Trust me, I know about that stuff, since most of the guys I've dated were gamers/comic book people. So I really don't want to hear any more about that junk.

And don't tell me that comic books are real books, because they're NOT, or that you larp. Larping is just wrong.

Oh well, I'll shut up now.

Just saying "books are boring" is too big a generalization. It's like saying "movies are boring" or "music is boring".

You have to find the type of book that you like to read, for me it's autobiographies, science-fiction and fantasy, particulary graphic novels and the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Maybe for you it's chick-lit or horror or comedy, don't expect all the good stuff to be pointed out for you. It's more fun to search things out, and very satisfying.
