| hey!
my favourite books would have to be Lord of the Rings and the Silmarillion by Tolkien, Narnia by CS Lewis (actually anything by Lewis and Tolkien lol), Master and Margarita by Bulgakov, and Martin Eden by Jack London. | 0 @ 13-03-2006 04:13 Masterful_Ally | 15,627 posts
| I have just this minute finished a brilliant brilliant book so I feel the urge to write about it. It's 'The Birth Of Venus' by Sarah Dunant, and if you're a geek like me and have ever had a fascination with renaissance art, particularly the Italian greats, read it, it is truly fantastic. It would be fantastic even if you had no interest whatsoever, just as a tale of a past society and a rebellious (female) child of the renaissance, but it's a brilliant mix of fact and fiction, a wonderful book! *contented* haha. I think I've fallen a bit in love with the lead 'romantic' role too hehe. I love rediscovering the pleasure of reading with something truly engrossing. | 0 @ 13-03-2006 04:24 TheWidow | 634 posts

| I have a couple of favourite books...
I love the Hitchhikers guide books... I read them when I was 13 because the guy I liked adored them.. and I really really liked the books... I reread them recently to see if I actually liked the books or not. And I still really really like them... They are so funny.
I also like Watership Down... How can anyone not like a book about rabbits?
Melina Marchetta is one of my favourite authors... she's only written 2 books, Looking for Alibrandi and Saving Francesca... and I love both of them... | 0 @ 14-03-2006 21:35 Sejuji | 133 posts
