| My favourite book is "Chronicle of an Announced Death" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, it's really good and "The Orange Girl" by Jostein Gaarder. Really good books, but any book by either one of those authors is really something worth reading | 0 @ 29-07-2004 18:55 LaciShae | 1,084 posts

| Anything by Aidan Chambers, especially Postcards From No Man's Land (everyone should read this book, it's amazing)
and Nick Hornby - About A Boy. The film is nothing compared to the book (I love the film though). The film misses the essential point of the book. I mean, I know it isn't all comedy in the book, but I think everyone who thinks they love the film have to read the book.
Also George Orwell - 1984, by far my favourite 'classic' because it's still so relevant today. | 0 @ 07-11-2004 21:36 MartynJDS | 248 posts
| My favourite book would have to be:
Contest By Matthew Reilly
But all Matthew Reilly's book's are amazing and all my favourite's:
Temple
Ice Station
Area 7
Scarecrow
And I also liked:
The Jester By James Patterson & Andrew Gross
Along Came A Spider By James Patterson | 0 @ 07-11-2004 21:38 chloya | 18,104 posts
| the lovely bones - alice sebold
Not recommended for readers under 16 though, due to some inappropriate material about rape. A very moving story |
