Why is there, in every hip hop video almost nude girls dancing? Isn't that just sooo old? Is it just cos they can't come up with anything new, or do they really think girls are that sexy they have to have them in every single video? It's sad that girls always has to be sexsymbols... why can't the guys take some clothes off and dance sexy instead? That'd be something new!!!

I think, at first, people thought skimpily dress women, that'll be controversial, might get banned, free publisity, loadsa money to stuff in their pockets. But as now, like you say, it dosn't work! They shoud try normal video's (mabye even a storyline)...then evryone would praise it as going against the trend!

i just guess its something like eye candy to look at while you're watching the rapper rap during the different screen shots. If they were wearing ski clothes in the videos with the long pants and ear muffs then that solves the scantily clad dressing problem. But what's the use of that in doing a video in brazil like big pimpin. I like it but that's just my own opinion.

i assume it is the whole "sex sells" thing coupled with the fact that there is nothing there for them to build a real video off of. I mean, what is in most rap videos? it's just a bunch of images of things people want, money, jewelry, hot half naked girls. there's no real base to the video, it's just there so they have to give entertainment while the rapper well, raps because otherwise it's just the rapper there by himself rapping (which sometimes a large portion of the video is that).

while seeing a half naked woman dancing in a video might not make you go "i'll buy that cd!" it is intended to stay on your mind, thus reminding you of the song and hopefully how much you liked it, therefore you will buy the cd. it's the same way that sex helps sell anything else, it's just there to keep you thinking about the item they were advertising.

I don't what u girls are talking about.In nellys vid "hot in herre" he has his shirt off and my friends that are girls were drooling over that.Besides most rap is not directed to the female audience.Most of my friends(females) only like a song from a rapper if he looks good.

that's the point have having girls or men in videos. If you were famous and had a video would you like having ugly skinny or fat women or men? I wouldn't think so but if you would then it probably wouldn't win any awards if it were on mtv or vh1. it would probably be taken as a joke.
