So I need your opinion on something or at least tell me what you think. I am 22 years old and I have 2 teddy bears. one is 30" and the other is 53" and I want to know what you guys think of that. Is that weird, is that wrong for someone of my age and gender to have teddy bears. is this a problem because I'm taking the hint that it is a problem. I also want to know why not a lot of men have teddy bears. I see nothing wrong with that and I've asked a bunch of people (men) if they have one and they typically don't. what is up with that. Please let me know what you think about all this. I value your opinion

I guess that the only reason or at least the only reason I can think of as to why I have teddy bears is because I want to feel young again. I'm 22 and I don't like being an adult. I like being a kid and I want to stay as young as possible. there's no sentimental reason behind my bears and I'm not a collector. I just like teddy bears and I don't see anything wrong with that. I want to keep them for ever and ever. You know what they say, "growing up is optional, growing old is mandatory" and that my friends is exactly what I intend to do. I intend to grow old without growing up...

I'm going to preface this by saying that you are entitled to do and live however you like, I don't judge. That being said, nobody enjoys being an adult. Paying bills, health care, grocery shopping, car insurance, car payments, fuel for the car, etc; it all sucks and thats without adding a kid to the mix. But growing up is not optional; when you're acting like a child, somebody else has to be the adult for you and at 22, it's pretty ridiculous.

And Practice, I'm not sure what your post was about considering he asked for an opinion and people gave it. If you expect people to give only positive feedback on things then you're living in a fairy tale.

Hello from Rhode Island, Tyler. Whitinsville is a nice town.

If you're thinking about prospective partners you could find someone who shares your appreciation for teddy bears.

I feel you about wanting to stay young. To be honest, many people don't like it because as Joe said earlier its childish/imature. You do you, though.

Calm down and elaborate more. You're asking for opinions but responding in what appears to be an angry manner when people are telling you their thoughts or trying to advise you.

Your response to me wasn't clear. Tried what? Tried to find someone who like teddy bears and failed? Actually been with people who like them? They're definitely out there.

Look...a quick Google of "adults who like teddy bears" pulls up these results: Huffington post article about why adults might still sleep with a teddy, article by a 33-year-old man who sleeps with a stuffed tiger, news article on three men who have both teddy bears and girlfriends...

So however weird people might say it is, you're definitely not alone. Forget social norms and do what makes you happy. You won't be the only one.

Tyler, you've shown a lack of respect for the people that have taken the time out of their day to give their honest opinion on this ridiculous subject. Who cares? Do what YOU want, not what others think.

I have a family of teddy bears. And I'm almost 30. I have a teddy bear I've had since being an itty bitty and I decided he needed a wife when I was about 7. Then was given a beanie baby bear when I was 13 and that was decided to be their son :|

I cuddled the first one all the time until I moved in with my husband. He doesn't have stuffed animals and mine now sit on a bookshelf until our little one is old enough to be given them.

Long story short, I don't think it's weird for a guy to have a stuffed animal and you may not find someone to appreciate your stuffed animals like you do but if they like you they'll accept the bears

Oops what? We've had a number of gay/lesbian/bi members over the years, myself included. No one here minds. And there will be gay guys out there who don't mind you having teddy bears or who own their own.

(I also have a couple of teddies on my bed. One's there just because it makes me laugh. It's a dog with a big head, hahaha.)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Don't let others bring you down because it's "different." We are all unique in our own ways.

I didn't specify gender, silly. Just stated that you need to find someone who accepts you bears and all. They don't have to have that common interest of liking teddy bears to cuddle with

Sorry but there will be zero chance of me sleeping with a teddy bear. Nothing wrong with it, I just would never do that.
