50th quiz! I wanted the Carlton dance, but couldn't find a good quality short version. Snoopy Dance will do.

Rules of the quiz:
- One answer per person (per round)
- Always give the answer you think the fewest amount of people would know
- If two people give the same answer in a short space of time, the first person's answer will be accepted (but the second can answer again)
- When applicable, a player may pick the same subject as another contestant and provide a different answer if they believe the other to be incorrect
- If you play the first round, please check back in case you make it through to Round #2
- Resist cheating (i.e. looking up answers; asking others)

And of course, respect your fellow contestants and have fun!

Round #1 will be posted shortly and will remain open until Monday (or, when applicable, until each answer is taken) to give everyone a chance of replying.

All right, finally made some time to find a round (I didn't like the questions I had for the category I wanted).

THE EUROPEAN UNION

I wanted a classic question that wouldn't be too difficult for this one (also something relating to Eurovision

- sort of). Bear in mind the show has been going for a while, so some answers that used to be pointless score points these days (depending on the round and how many options there are

). So, I gave 100 people 100 seconds to name as many...

lol, I knew this category had to do with the EU, but when I was trying to make a choice, I was only thinking about Eurovision (and trying to picture a map in my head). I realize now that I didn't ask myself if my choice was even in the EU. Oops.

Joe's pick was one of the other ones I was considering.

Haha. To be honest, Jen, I do the same (but knowingly). There are a lot of us (Brits, at least) who have lost track of who isn't and is in the EU. When I'm playing along at home and a question like this comes up, I think of Eurovision and hope for the best.

Fittingly, my polling card arrived today. On the 23rd of June the UK will be voting to remain in or to leave the European Union (but voters voting via post can send theirs now). It's a big deal and everything so far has suggested the country is fairly evenly split.

The co-host Richard actually read the scores out in French - the round was on a celebrity edition of Pointless that aired before the Eurovision Song Contest (on which Richard later made a guest appearance to announce the UK's votes). So, the two who go through to the Head-to-Head of our 50 quizth aaare...

There must have been a mistake somewhere. But I am convinced I am not leaving the game, I have not lost yet.

Too soon to announce the results and tell that Croatia scored more than Slovakia. I disagree with many of you. I am not leaving, so please, let me continue playing.

I thought I was good at guessing Eurovision countries - that's why I said I was not leaving this topic.

I agree with the "honorary" medal term.

Agree with the "good job" terms too since it is not the end of the Pointless 50, not even for me or any of the 11 contestants. Let them encourage finalists!
