This made me think of you, Jeff!

You probably already know about it but it was on today's local news website. My brother has a master's degree in aerospace physics but I don't begin to understand it so I usually don't pay much attention to this stuff. I'm more of a "liberal arts" kinda guy - music & literature being my thing! However, I did think this was pretty cool!

Had a big fight with my former landlord upon moving out. He told me he's keeping my entire $900 deposit. I'm not sure if that's a result of the argument or the cause of it, but either way we disagree on the amount of deposit I should get back. He needs to give me a deduction list within thirty days which I'm hoping he forgets. Either way, I'm planning to take him to small claims court. Anyone have small claims court experience or advice?

This is not happening imminently. I am waiting the thirty days then sending a demand letter. My hope is that we settle on a fair amount so it doesn't have to reach court at all.

Only one I've ever been to around here is Turning Stone. That would be a bit of a hike for you. Haven't won there in years, not even $5, so I haven't been in a while. My mom's friend won $20,000 last weekend playing bingo. But that's just a fraction of what she's probably lost there over the years.

Joe, ifyou have hbo you get hbo go, which is exactly like hbo now. Thats how i get it. Cox hooked me up with a package that gives me local channels plus hbo, starz, encore, and one other useless channel for $20. Worth it because i live too far out to get locals and hbo is $13 by otself

Could the girlfriend living situation be grounds for him to keep it, Curt? Hard to believe you could've done anything worth the whole deposit without knowing about it. Sounds like he's just being petty if he won't give you a reason.
