Maybe the uploading system has changed since the site changed. I don't upload often. But I notice if my image is too big I no longer get an alert, it tries to upload it anyway. It sits there for probably 2-3 minutes or so, and then my image comes back with a questionmark in it, not my real photo. All files are JPEG, they format that way automatically on iPad/Apple. Also, I used to be able to upload huuuuge photos, I've given up adding artist photos, 9/10 of them don't go through. I'd say it only accepts them if they are about around 600x400. Thanks for any help.

It doesn't tell me either, just gives me the broken file image.

Most of the time it does what you say, Sierra, then I realize that it's too big. A few times it popped up the box saying the file was too big.

Yeah, I do realise what the problem is when it happens, but it might be confusing for newer members.

havent run into the issue myself, ive only seen it resize the image, which sometimes makes image too small

I just changed both avatar and profile images with new uploads ... one other pic was too big So ... 2 out of 3 .... :-)

Weird. It's never re-sized images for me. It either won't let me click the button to upload or it'll show me the broken image icon. I just had to re-size an image six times because there's no indication of what size they should be/by how much an image is over the maximum file size.

Hey guy, I checked and the upload system indeed didn't produce a neat error when a filename is too large (500K). I fixed it, it will now show an error message. Well, if you get it, because I increased the upload limit 10 times to 5M, should be enough.

And, I added new feature to the upload system that I guess will be very helpfull. Take a look

I still have to stress test it, so if you run into glitches, let me know.
