*Introductory theme tune*

Yay, 40!

Rules of the quiz:
- One answer per person (per round)
- Always give the answer you think the fewest amount of people would know
- If two people give the same answer in a short space of time, the first person's answer will be accepted (but the second can answer again)
- When applicable, a player may pick the same subject as another contestant and provide a different answer if they believe the other to be incorrect
- If you play the first round, please check back in case you make it through to Round #2
- Resist cheating (i.e. looking up answers; asking others)

And of course, respect your fellow contestants and have fun!

Round #1 will be posted shortly and will remain open until Monday (or, when applicable, until each answer is taken) to give everyone a chance of replying.

* offtopic :
The records of previous winners and pointless answers can be found here.

I've only ever had two of the drinks on this list.

There's a pointless answer up there.

Bubble Tea is one of the two I've had. Has anyone else tried it? It was so weird (compared to what I usually call tea).

I only know ristretto from that advert with George Clooney. And I'd forgotten the name.

I just do what my grandfather used to, make a piss-ton of espresso on sunday night, and leave it in the fridge in a mason jar for early morning wake up sips

We've talked about this before but I have bubble tea probably a few times a month. They sell it at my church every week for $2 although it's not always that good.
I might know the Chinese one but I only know the teas by their Chinese name so...

AN INDIAN BEVERAGE MADE BY BOILING TEA LEAVES WITH MILK, SUGAR, AND SPICES (C) - chai

I came to start a topic...and here is the BIG "4-0" Pointless! Joey! Congratulations!

OH right! I digress...

My answer to :
A BERGAMOT-FLAVOURED CHINA TEA, SHARES ITS NAME WITH A BRITISH PRIME MINISTER (EG)
Earl Grey

(It maybe high up on the listing, but as a fan of Star Trek I HAD to take Picard's favorite)

Have we? It rings a bell (a distant one in the far corners of my mind ). Yeah, the one I had didn't taste of much. The "bubbles"...I don't remember if they tasted of anything. They were squishy. :p

Yeah the bubbles usually aren't flavored...you can either get the liquid tea part flavored (with pretty much any kind of fruit), or you can replace the bubbles with fruit jelly.

One of the beneficial effects of watching/participating in game shows like Pointless! is that you encounter new ideas/topics/items you may not have known of before, and expanding your life and curiosity is hopefully, now piqued, to try to find out more about them, or even sample the new item.

Who knows? They may become a new favorite!
