Roxcyn asked me to link tracks in this album (because the artist moderator wasn't responding) some time ago. I couldn't - I was having this problem (as described by Nicolas in the 'Several problems editing soundtracks' thread):

1. I go to this soundtrack album and edit it.
2. I search for the song "Live to Live" by Chris Stills, select it, and it appears in the linking box.
3. I save it, but it remains unlinked.

Repeatedly, except sometimes it would change. Some songs would link, but half of the tracklist would disappear. I'd go to the edit form and try it again, and the songs would be back but fewer songs would be linked. And no matter how many times I did it, it wouldn't link all of the ones it should be linking.

I thought it was just a temporary glitch, and then I got caught up in the new site and stuff. But roxcyn reminded me recently and alerted me to the fact that the album is now formatted as if there is only one disc, when in fact there are two. Again, when I click on the edit form, it's different. It does show two discs with their separate tracklists. But not when saved.

Please take a look, Ray.

* offtopic :
I'm not aware of these problems occurring on other albums. If they are, I'll change the title. :p

That tracklist needs to be looked at again because there are songs that are listed more than once. When a song is on a tracklist more than once it will automatically remove one of them, notice when you edit album and go to link songs the tracklist starts at track 6? I see "Stupid" and "Kix" on there twice for example.

I know you're asking Ray, but I think I can answer this one.

They're on discs one and discs two, that's why. It was separated before, but now it's not, which is one of the problems.

I don't think that matters. Is the second disc different versions or anything? May have to add (Live), (Acoustic) ... whatever to the second one to differentiate from the original. They must be different, why would a two disc set have the same songs on both CDs.

Yeah, sorry, that wasn't quite right. The Kix is on the first disc twice. Hold on. :p

OK. That is correct. Are few are on both CDs, and there are two versions of Kix on the first CD.

I just don't understand why it isn't separating the discs (and why I had the trouble linking before then).

Yeah, I think (going off the Wikipedia article) the second disc is of the demo versions of the songs.

Do you think if I add "demo" in the song names it will solve the separating issue? :S

It will.

OK, I'll try that, thanks.

Yeah, that hasn't worked.

Like I said, this problem didn't occur originally. The discs were originally on there as two; the original problem was the not linking and songs disappearing.

Care if I give it a go? You are probably right, I'm sure you didn't do anything wrong, but just to try something out.

But let me know what you did if you manage to fix it.

Got it. I know what you mean, it wasn't working. I basically just started from the beginning. I deleted everything and set the album back to "tracklist not available" and then readded it and it worked. I left the Demos blank since they don't exist yet. I don't know if those need to be added or if roxcyn planned to or what but if she does she'll have to put the "Demo" part in there otherwise the problem will just happen again.

You got the linking working - which is greatly appreciated - but it's still saying it's all under one disc. :[

Never mind roxcyn isn't moderator.

It says 2 discs for me.

Really? Can you print-screen for me? It says two discs at the top and two discs on the edit form, but the tracklist is all one.

Not that I disbelieve you, I just want to see how it is. This is weird.

Ohhh, I see what you mean. The numbers are correct but there's no divide between discs. Yeah that's annoying now that I notice it. Maybe Ray can add that in.

Yeah. And tell us why it's happening. :s

Hi! You mean "he", PinkFloyd . Disc 2 is the demos called "The Demos according to Gessle". Since they're demos some of the titles are different and the lyrics are different. Eventually, I'd like to add all the lyrics to the album. Here's a pic to show you what I'm talking about.

Hey guys, fixing the "multi-disk" presentation is already on my list. Anything more for me to do on this one?

Looks good - the original songs are linked to disc 1. Now we just need the multi-disc presentation done which you have set to do.
