I'm not sure what to say to this, yet I'm compelled to respond. What thinking is behind that statement? Was it a joke or do you think people reach a certain age and lose the ability to learn new information?

Obviously this person has not gotten to the point in school where punctuation is taught...

I feel drawn and compelled to respond as well...

I do write long....

School may not be cool to you, but unless you are born as a "savant" in some field, most of us have to find ourselves, find our path in life, our careers/jobs....

If you attend (at 21) college it is to learn and open your mind to new possibilities that today, right now as you type "school is so not cool" you may be missing out in life....

Survivor (do you watch it?) Just concluded their show where they pitted White Collar, vs Blue Collar vs No Collar job holders against one another...

These represent some of the areas of work/life/careers there are out there for you to find and sample.

College/School gives you a chance to try it out.... without bombing out! You can get an A or an F.... Go with the classes and areas of study that you get A's in and avoid the ones you don't like, or you get F's in...

But ....

In order to find yourself, you have to go to----"school" Its worth it.. don't waste time there with partying etc, its there for you to find yourself..

I do wish you luck if you take that route... and who knows, one day you might return here and tell us how fortunate it was to have attended school and learned something that made all the difference in your life...

(Wrote this for Jeff too to read!)

Well babies don't know about punctuation and our intelligence levels never change, so...

Well, this'll be a self-fulfilling prophecy if you think of it that way. That attitude will get you nowhere in life.

Why were you discussing survivor in here, practice? Lmao.

Did you even read his post? It's obvious why.

Knowing Jeff's laziness he probably didn't read it all

But simply put, Jeff, he mentioned it because it relates to careers/college; jobs that are out there for you to find, basically.

Or any of it...

So why would you ask why he brought up Survivor if you were too lazy to read the post to find out for yourself?

It's ridiculous of you to ask, then. Fitting for the thread, though...

I made myself a promise when i graduated high school that from that day forward I would never learn another goddamn thing. So far, so good.

That's awful. What do you have against learning?

So much to comment on....
Last item first, So Jeremy, what happens when you choose to "retire"? So many senior citizens return to take college level courses (or even advanced courses taught at evening sessions at Community Colleges or High Schools) to learn topics and things they never had time for while they were earning a living/advancing in career/starting a family, etc etc you know the rest.... They enjoy learning for the sake of absorbing new things... For you to have already made a declaration and given up? It does not sound like the Jeremy that I read the posts of here!

Yes Jeremy, but this is the Internet, and sometimes jokes and sarcasm are hazy.

It's okay, you don't know Jeremy like some of us. Although sometimes he still gets me.

I've learned to just assume he's being sarcastic all the time, because even if his post is meant to be serious, he probably really still meant to be sarcastic about it.
