I am suddenly receiving notifications for everything. It's quite annoying. Can there be a way to not auto-follow every thread I post in? I shouldn't need to receive notices when others post in a thread that's not even mine. I realize I can go to thread and uncheck "following" but once I post again it re-adds me as following.

Also, in the notification dropdown, I have been pressing the button that looks like two o's smashed together, assuming this also means to "unfollow". If not, what does this button do?

Edit: I take that back, it looks more like a capsule.

Yeah, it's been saying "2" ever since the new layout, when I have no notifications there. When I do have notifications there, it adds to the 2 (so if I have 3 notifications, for example, the 2 becomes a 5)

I removed these "ghost" notifications for you.

Can you hook me up with a delete ray? I have like 300 hanging around.

Thanks But now, the (+0) won't change when I get new notifications. I must ask, though, why do we even need a "plus number" in parentheses? Why can't we just have the number of notifications in that spot to keep it simple?

It's not a huge deal, but ever since the delete you did of all the notifications I had, a few older ones keep coming back every couple of days or so. Example.

That message one is the most frequent culprit. I don't know who messaged me on the 2nd of October 2014 at that time, but LSI apparently thinks they or their message content should be remembered.

Ray, did you deactivate Notification for everyone? (Or do I have to follow everything I reply to now?)

He made it opt-in rather than opt-out. If you reply to topics, you don't automatically follow them now unless you actually choose to do so by clicking the button at the top.

Thanks Joeyy! What about if someone likes your post? Will that show up in notifications?

The notifications for 'likes' hasn't worked since the site changed.

I thought I saw them when the site was changed.

Yeah. I edited my post to make it clearer, sorry. They haven't worked for me since the site change. Sierra mentioned it a few times, but I don't think you (Ray) responded. I don't know if they work for everyone else now.

Nope, it's not working for me. Ray liked one of my posts in this thread and it's not in my notification box.

Ditto. Sorry, I didn't realise you weren't aware of the problem; I thought it must just be at the end of your list. Thanks for the fix, Ray.
