Hi all. I'm trying to identify a song, without any luck.

The lyrics go like this -

Just gimme some extra time girl, oh my baby,
To show you that you're mine girl, alright
Just gimme some extra time girl, oh my darling
To show you that you're mine girl........

Thanks in advance.

Hi there wombat!

I checked lots of places... song lyrics as you typed them are not to be found there..

There is a site or two called "misheard lyrics" and I'm assuming that your memory of them falls into that area.

If I change them around a bit... use some of my memory....

And cheating---found the answer in this website (giving credit to them)

The song (video) and Lyrics are on this LetsSingIt site as : Brenton Wood - Gimme A Little Sign Lyrics
He is the 1970's person you mentioned---his 1967 hit single "Gimme A Little Sign" started his career off, so I assume 1967/1970 its close enough!

Another site mentioned it was also sung (his slightly different shorter version) by Peter Andre. LSI Lyrics here (bio says 1989 he started)

OR Found out also on this site: Rick Nelson sung with Brenton Wood's words in 1993

* offtopic :
Note for Celine/Oliva_Ka, Nicolas/MCSMeister: Rick Nelson appears twice with same song and location in the search results---was there some reason for double listing?
