*Introductory theme tune*

Dedicated to Kim Jong-un's new hairstyle.

Rules of the quiz:
- One answer per person (per round)
- Always give the answer you think the fewest amount of people would know
- If two people give the same answer in a short space of time, the first person's answer will be accepted (but the second can answer again)
- When applicable, a player may pick the same subject as another contestant and provide a different answer if they believe the other to be incorrect
- If you play the first round, please check back in case you make it through to Round #2
- Resist cheating (i.e. looking up answers; asking others)

And of course, respect your fellow contestants and have fun!

Round #1 will be posted shortly and will remain open until Monday (or, when applicable, until each answer is taken) to give everyone a chance of replying.

Why would they? I'm sure he's not the only monkey from a children's book.

ROUND #1 RESULTS

Ten players, meaning we lose four of you this time and four of you in the second round. I'm glad I used this round; you know your fictional primates (better than I do, at least ;p). The four who didn't make it through are...

Kaleb: 61 (KING KONG)
Sierra: 38 (CHEETA)
Carl: 24 (CLYDE)
Jeff: 12 (MARCEL)

Bruna: 11 (DONKEY KONG)
Lisa: 5 (THE LIBRARIAN)
Anthony: 3 (CURIOUS GEORGE)
Sarah: 2 (GRAPE APE)

Jen: 0 POINTLESS!! (SHIFT)
Practice: 0 POINTLESS!! (AMY)

I think you probably knew that was a high scorer, Kaleb, sorry. Commiserations to you, Sierra, Carl and Jeff - especially to Jeff; twelve is a good score. I hadn't heard of Clyde or Cheeta, so I was surprised at how high they scored.

Congratulations to those of you who proceed to Round #2, and to Jen and Practice for the pointless answers. It means Jen overtakes B as the leader on the pointless answers board, although that may yet change again by the end of the quiz.

I can't think of any others with the name in the title. And if I can't think of it, it doesn't exist . No, but... I thought more than 3 would know or guess anyway. Clearly I was wrong.

Twice in a row I've come one off from being in the next round. wtf.

Perhaps - based on the two pointless answers and the low score there - they weren't a literature loving bunch.

I wouldn't have guessed it, though. I thought Curious George was just a TV character/something people referenced when making lame jokes.

Sorry, Jeff. I thought more people might know Donkey Kong.

I know him more from TV than books myself. We had a film and watched it loads.

Well, presumably you know that the PRIMATE WHO LIVED IN CHRIS'S CLOSET IN 'FAMILY GUY' is called Evil Monkey, and that would have seen you through on 4 points.

The SIDEKICK OF JOHNNY VEGAS IN A POPULAR SERIES OF ADVERTISEMENTS was just called MONKEY. I wouldn't have expected anyone here to get that unless James or Em were around, but it scored 32 points anyway.

And the PUPPET OPERATED BY KEITH HARRIS, SIDEKICK AND ARCH-ENEMY OF ORVILLE THE DUCK is named CUDDLES. Another good scorer on 5 points.

Congrats guys, surprised about Donkey Kong and Curious George. How did Evil Monkey do?

ROUND #2

Your category for Round #2 is...

SHAKESPEARE

And the question concerns...

WORDS OF FIVE LETTERS OR MORE IN THE TITLES OF SHAKESPEARE'S PLAYS

B gets her Shakespeare round. I'm looking for any word of five letters or more, excluding numbers and proper nouns (i.e. person or place names), in any of Shakespeare's plays. Good luck!

So it's just "Evil Monkey"? I knew that, but I expected it wasn't that easy and maybe he was given a name that I missed.

Haha, yeah, well one of the answers was just 'Monkey'. I guess there aren't that many well-known fictional primates.

Edited out B's "from..." - remember not to give the play name if it contains other answers.

You can both answer again if you have another one. Be sure to read any writing under the questions, folks.

Sometimes this game confuses me. I hadn't hear of Sierra's, Jeff's or Carl's answers for last round.

I almost went with Jeff's answer but he got to it first. I loved Marcel!
