The main thing that I collect is diecast cars from the Disney franchise Cars. I've been amassing a collection of them ever since third grade, and though buying new ones has slowed over the past few years, I probably have about 1,000 of them at this point (haven't counted them in a while, but it was pretty close to 1,000 last time I checked). I also collect CDs and vinyl records.

Coins, rocks and minerals. What do you collect, Nicholas?

Didn't read the top in time. Whoops.

Spelled my name wrong, naturally.
Oh yeah, I used to keep up with coin books back in elementary school. I still have them, actually.

I just checked the drawer they're in (conveniently, they're in a drawer at the desk I'm currently sitting at) and they seem to be Whitman coin collection books.

Neat! You'll have to take a couple of pictures of the coins you have.

Commemorative coins - 50ps, £1 coins, £2 coins, £5 coins (not in circulation), £20 coins (not in circulation). On display in my room. PinkFloyd | 14-02-2015 01:29

I don't now, but I collected beanie babies when I was a kid. I had around 80 of them at one point. As you can tell it paid off. Beanie babies turned out to be worth the millions they said they'd be. I think I sold most of them for like a dollar at a yard sale.Joeyy | 14-02-2015 01:34
...I gave my collection to a charity last year. :/ Bloody better not have been worth millions.

Sure thing. Here's pics of my commemorative state quarter book, which is the main one I put dedication into back then: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
And while I'm at it, here's a picture of a few of the diecast cars I mentioned (nowhere near all of them, but just a few shelves of them)
Captain_Keeta | 14-02-2015 01:38
That's neat! Thanks for posting those!
Joeyy, don't forget that some of them came to me too.

And all of those cars are cool, Nicolas. I liked the little Spongebob to the left.

It really depends on which ones you had. Some Beanie Babies are worth a penny while others can be worth over $1,000.

Hah, I knew someone would point out that SpongeBob - he's actually one of many McDonald's toys I have lined up against the windowsill. I guess you could say I collected those for a time, as well

Cat figurines. I must have at least 35 of them.Captain_Keeta | 14-02-2015 01:53
Haha, it's a neat collection you have, Nicolas.

What are those coins, Nicolas? Does each state have its own commemorative coin?
Nothing that wasn't at least fairly easy to replace, Jeff. I think only one or two were from my own collections... I can't actually remember what I sent.

I don't think I had any rare Beanie Babies.

What are those coins, Nicolas? Does each state have its own commemorative coin?
Yup - basically each year from 1998 to 2008, 2 coins would be produced for 5 states. I don't know if you can tell from the images, but each state coin has a P or a D engraved on it (Philadelphia or Denver mint, respectively). So, 10 years, and each year had 5 states get coins produced for them, so 50 states total (and 100 mints).
It's a hard thing for me to explain but I still remember the basics from back then. If anything Jeff could probably explain it better than I can, but I think that made some sort of sense.

I don't have shelves of stuff just sitting there, being collections. The only things I collect are things I actually use. I have a bit of a comic book collection, and 'Doctor Who' stuff, but only usable things, not figurines or things like that.guest
