I work for a human service company as a "counselor." I use that term loosely. We work with special needs adult who have an MR diagnoses and usually much more.

I know where you're coming from, Curt re: the self-diagnosis era, and would add more if I wasn't about to nod off. Probably come up again some time; I'll put in my two pennies worth then.

Sounds good. My rage level is usually always at a steady 2 or 3, but for some reason these types of people get my blood pumping to 11. Not really sure why. I guess it's just a life philosophy thing. I want everyone to pick themselves up by the bootstraps and go get shit done and I feel like that mindset is being attacked in a weird sort of way by this other mindset that promotes taking the easy way out, self-victimizing, pity, and generally justifying loser lifestyles. That, and those people just don't see the big picture. It obviously makes me mad bro.

On another note, I forgot how awesome pastrami is. Better late than never.

I thought the Survivor premiere was pretty good! I wasn't too keen on how they sorted the tribes but I think they put together a pretty interesting cast.

White Collar: So was a really bad liar...and also came across as mean and arrogant. Dumb move to announce having an alliance of 4 that didn't exist (it's the first vote, how could she be so confident in her alliance already?). Don't like Joaquin either. I'm liking Max and Carolyn...props to finding the idol without any hints!

Blue Collar: This tribe also turned into 2 vs. 4 pretty quickly. Rooting for the two older guys! Crazy when Mike ate a scorpion on the first day.

No Collar: That guy Joe is good at everything! Starting a fire without flint and then doing that puzzle. Vince's drama was the funniest part of the episode...building some sort of special connection with Jenn who doesn't share the same feeling, and then asking her "do you find Joe attractive?" What???

Vince just seems pathetic in general as a person to be honest. I thought Carolyn took a huge risk my not playing her idol. She seems like she's easily the smartest and most well-equipped for Survivor of any of the tribes. I'll probably root for her all season.

Disappointed in the lack of babes on this season.

When I was trying to sell my car a few years ago, someone emailed me saying they were interested and made a point to promise that they weren't a murderer/rapist.

Told them it was sold. Fuck that noise. It wasn't even a scenario I had considered until they brought it up.

Were it not for the surprise factor I'd take no power steering at 50 over a dead stop. At least you have momentum to help turn the wheel. The unexpected nature of the no power steering might f me up a little.

That happened to me in the middle of a snow storm. Wasn't going 50, but was driving a van with bald tires and minimal visibility, only able to go 15-20 mph. It sucked.
