| there is a whole mess of songs you can play when you're a begginer like slipknot's wait and bleed, metallica's enter sandman, comes as you are and smells like teen spirit by nirvana, green day music is also pretty simple, her ghost in the fog by cradle of filth. oldies are also pretty easy to play, songs like another brick in the wall by pink floyd, light my fire by the doors(all doors songs aren't that complicated) or music by creedence is also simple to play try to look up most of this and listen to the song because the tabs don't tell you the timing like the music notes. good luck and don't give because the harder part of playing the guitar is the beggining.

| i just started accoustic about 2 weeks ago..i'm pretty good with chords now and trying to learn tabs...anyone know of any good accoustic songs?
also since tabs and chords only tell you which notes to play how do you figure out the rhythm? i've been downloading the songs and listening to them to figure it out by ear..know of any other ways? |

| Useful links:
Taborama.com
TabIt
The first is a tab website, the second is a free-to-download program. You can type in tabs and get it to play them for you, or download ones other people have written from the same website. You can also buy the full version if you like it enough. |

| You can tell the rhythm (sort of) from how close together the notes are on the tab. For example:
E------------
B------------
G------------
D--5-5-5-5--
A--5-5-5-5--
E--3-3-3-3--
is twice as fast as
E------------
B------------
G------------
D--5---5----
A--5---5----
E--3---3----
But the best way is to listen to the song. |

| The Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Californication" and "Under The Bridge" is both songs with intros, that everybody knows and are pretty easy to play.
I'm a beginner and I can do them both to the perfect. It's kind of choking.
"Stairway To Heaven" by Led Zeppelin have also some easy parts. |
