Maybe you're getting notifications because someone is liking a post of yours? I just got a notification because someone liked my post.

Sarah was right when she told you not to get worked up over Celine's constant post-liking, but now that we get a notification every time...

Seriously though, Celine. You don't have to like everything. And nevermind, I didn't realize I had to trash can them. I thought once I viewed/deleted the message the notification would go away. But I see now.

You can just "mark as read" if it doesn't do it automatically, for it to go back to 0. You don't have to delete/trash can them (unless you want to keep it empty, of course.)

Haha. He's right, though - I haven't deleted any of mine and they've automatically been marked as read once I viewed them for a few seconds.

I'm not sure if I'm really liking this new system at the moment. When I moderate an artist and receive the tiring PM that tells me I'm moderator for that artist, I now have to remove both a PM and a notification, which is twice the work. I'm not one to complain normally, but I don't see a need for added things to remove in my traybar. But that's just me. I don't even see why we need to have moderator PMs constantly if we know how to moderate artists, but that's irrelevant to this topic.

I also kind of miss the number near the PM icon, as well. It doesn't feel right without it, and even though notifications show that now, there can still be messages in your inbox that are left unread that one might not notice because of that. Not to mention some people could easily forget about a PM because of it as well.

Even though we get notifications for new messages now, the envelope link could still flash at the top if there are any unread messages in your inbox, so that you can't forget about them. Just an idea.

I noticed that we get notifications for friends birthdays but also still get the message about it as well. Seems redundant. Is there a way to make it so we only get the notification? Not the notification AND the message?

Also, I don't know if I'm the only one who has this problem, but notifications don't show up on my phone. As in, I see the icon has turned gold, but the box won't show when I click it.

Also, you only get a notification for first "like" on your post, any more likes after that you don't. On purpose, or a glitch?

I'd imagine that would be on purpose, because when you're notified by the first person that likes your post, after you click the notification you can see who else liked it. It's probably to prevent flooding notifications as well.

Okay, perhaps I was hasty. It's gone now.

I promise I'm not an idiot. It was there, then after Celine liked my comment, it went away. Once I deleted her notification, then the other one came back.
