I just realised that I haven't included our theme tune in the past couple of quizzes! *Introductory theme tune*

Now that that's sorted, let's play Pointless!

Rules of the quiz:
- One answer per person (per round)
- Always give the answer you think the fewest amount of people would know
- If two people give the same answer in a short space of time, the first person's answer will be accepted (but the second can answer again)
- When applicable, a player may pick the same subject as another contestant and provide a different answer if they believe the other to be incorrect
- If you play the first round, please check back in case you make it through to Round #2
- Resist cheating (i.e. searching online for answers)

And of course, respect your fellow contestants and have fun!

Round #1 will be posted shortly and will remain open until Monday (or, when applicable, until each answer is taken) to give everyone a chance of replying.

* offtopic :
The records of previous winners and pointless answers can be found here.

ROUND #1

I know this isn't everyone's strongest subject, but we haven't had a first round of it for a while and I counted earlier: out of the twenty-one different first rounds I have at the moment, there's only one of this topic, so just give it your best shot if you're uncertain 'n' then you won't have to deal with it for a while.

Our category for Round #1 is...

LITERATURE

And the question concerns...

FICTIONAL SIBLINGS

I'm about to give you six surnames of famous families from literature. You have to give me any of the siblings (brothers or sisters) from any of those families. As always, the more obscure, the better.

Good luck! The six family names are...

BENNET
(PRIDE AND PREJUDICE)

DARLING
(PETER PAN)

KIRRIN
(THE FAMOUS FIVE)

MARCH
(LITTLE WOMEN)

PEVENSIE
(THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA)

WEASLEY
(HARRY POTTER)

(Half of the work is done; guess a name at random if you want to participate but don't know any!)

Peter Pan is the only one of those that I know well, so...

John Darling

Do we have to say which family we're answering for?

Yes, sorry. Got to put the surname after the first. There are some first rounds in which you don't have to specify, but not this one.

Don't forget about the woman who had to put a first name to a choice of three surnames (politicians being the category) and got a pointless answer with the complete guess of Nick Brown.

I've read all of these except Peter Pan, but for most it has been years. I think there's a Dick Kirrin.

I think I've read all but Peter Pan. When I was little and I watched the film, I thought they were just using "darling" as a pet name.

(I guess his real name is probably Richard, but Dick should be acceptable?)

Yeah, Dick is acceptable. It's what he was known by.

Can't you just guess? It's fun in the show, especially when someone gets it right by guessing. :]

Aren't there like 800 Weasleys? I'm sure you could guess one right, Sierra.

I know. It was a joke, I can see it failed. Ron Weasley then.

I think her answer should get points based on creativity. That is officially my new name on steam.

Oh, haha. Sorry, boo. I'm with you now - it's hard to pull myself from the literature world to the film one. Snipes would definitely have been a good one.
