Post here for anyone that has died or for an anniversary of a singer, songwriter, actor, author, sports player, etc. You could also say what you appreciated about them.

Keep it nice, keep it neat, keep it clean.

That work?

I'll start with John Spinks, one of the original founding members of the Outfield.

Just when we thought Carrie Fisher was in stable condition after her heart attack, she died today at 60 years old. Rest in peace

Seriously sad, all of them (the deaths). We've also lost Richard Adams, author of Watership Down. Not sure how popular that is in the US or the rest of Europe, but it was part of my childhood...and Liz Smith, an actress from such British classics as The Royle Family and The Vicar of Dibley. She was a regular on our Christmas television. RIP.

The loss of Carrie Fisher is so sad. I'm not sure which saddens me more, her or Alan Rickman.

Bruce DeHaven was the Carolina Panthers' Special Teams coach and he just passed away after battling with prostate cancer. He also was the Special Teams coach for the Buffalo Bills from 1987 to 1999 and later 2010 to 2012 where in 2013, he signed with the Carolina Panthers.

This is absolutely crazy. Carrie Fisher's mother, actress Debbie Reynolds, just died, a day after Carrie did. Reminds me of earlier in the year when both Céline Dion's husband and brother died within the same week.

I just read as well that Zsa Zsa Gabor's son died today. He was in a motorcycle accident the day she died and passed away today.

* offtopic :
Son is a loosely used term. She and her husband adopted a number of grown men, who paid them, for use of his "title" as prince, which he also bought.

Okay seriously, this thread won't even exist in 2017 because no one is left to leave us. This is not cool at all and I feel sorry for everyone's families that have lost someone in this horrible year.

2016 claimed one more before it died as well. William Christopher, played Father Mulcahy on MASH, died from lung cancer about 5am on New Year's Eve Day 2016.

Francine York, a familiar guest star of numerous TV shows from Batman to The Mindy Project and the go-to bombshell in a string of classic Jerry Lewis comedies, died in California. She was 80.

Miguel Ferrer...Actor. Fondly remembered for playing 'Dr. Garret Macy' in the television series "Crossing Jordan" (2001 to 2007) and as 'Owen Granger" in the TV program "NCIS: Los Angeles" (2012 until his death). Born into a family of distinguished, well-known entertainers, his father was Academy Award winner Jose Ferrer, his mother was singer Rosemary Clooney, he was also the cousin of actor George Clooney. Miguel initially took an interest in music and began playing the drums at an early age. He contributed musically to "The Who's" drummer Keith Moon's solo project "Two Sides of the Moon" (1975), prior to gravitating towards acting. He was trained at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and marked his television debut in a 1981 episode of the program "Magnum, P.I.". Additionally, Ferrer was identifiable for his voice work on such animated series as "Jackie Chan Adventures" and "Young Justice". Among his film credits include "Robo Cop" (1987) and "Point of No Return" (1993). One of his earliest roles that I remember him from is that of the helmsman aboard the USS Excelsior in Star Trek III The Search for Spock. He only had a few lines...but one I remember is 'Transwarp at your command, sir"
